A BTS shot of THE LIMIT DOES NOT EXIST, a short film for @publicjustice_ made by @weareneonzoo on which I had the pleasure to be Assistant Animator/Clean-up person last November. This shot (and the whole film tbh) was animated by @_ericlarson_ . A small but mighty team, as always 💪. This one I really hold dear. Trans pride was just around the corner, and there’s a few trans folks in my life whom I love deeply. While not out yet, it’s been making the festival rounds at @anibar_official and @athensanimfest, so do keep an eye out for it 👀. ✨ CREDITS ✨ Director: Elyse Kelly @e.l.y.s.e.k.e.l.l.y Writers: Eric Larson @_ericlarson_ , Elyse Kelly Producer: Elyse Kelly Impact producer: Gretel Truong @greteltruong Production manager: Casey Craddock Art director & Storyboard artist: Niv Sekar @niv_notes Animator : @_ericlarson_ VO actor: Boone Williams @boonewwilliams Original music: Aaron Berk @hopperrace Assistant animator / Cleanup & color: Laura N-Tamara @niwakins Sound design & Mix: Chris Mastellone @chris.mastellone Production assistant: Olivia Li @birbostar_animation #NeonZoo #EveryStoryMatters #AnimationStudio #ImpactStorytelling

Hello, Neon Zoo family! We need your help. We’re looking for funding to help finish our next original short doc, AWAKE, and have a generous donor who has offered to match contributions made in April. If you’re able to financially support the film, you can make a tax-deductible donation at the link in our bio. Every dollar makes a difference. Equally appreciated and helpful would be to share this post with the folks in your network. This film is a true labor of love, and wouldn’t be possible without our brilliant team of artists from around the world. Here’s a sneak peek at some work-in-progress animation by @mohammedhosam119 ✏️ ✨ CREDITS ✨ Directors: Dan Fipphen & Elyse Kelly Producers: Dan Fipphen, Molly Kaplan, Elyse Kelly, Deema Salem Syed Art directors: Naghmeh Farzaneh, Ana Mouyis Storyboard artist: David Navas Animation supervisor: Rohan McDonald Impact producers: Gretel Truong, Sahar Khan Lead animators: Joumana Ismail, Eric Larson, Kat Michaelides, Sabine Volkert Animators: Prashanti Aswani, Mohammed Hosam, Mithra Krishnan, Cory Sutter Cleanup & Color: Nazlı Cem, Sanjana Chandrasekhar, Cynthia Chu, Joumana Ismail, Ke Ren, Cory Sutter Composers: Brooke Blair & Will Blair Sound designer: Chris Mastellone Post production recording: Full English Post Voice over recording engineer: Charles Atangana #NeonZoo #EveryStoryMatters #AnimationStudio #ImpactStorytelling #AnimatedDocumentary

Another extract from “Tasiujarjuaq and Weeneebeg: Bays of Life” produced by @weareneonzoo for @natgeo @natgeopristineseas “Tasiujarjuaq and Weeneebeg: Bays of Life tells the story of Cree and Inuit across Hudson Bay (Tasiujarjuaq in Inuktitut) and James Bay (Weeneebeg in Cree) who are working to protect their waters. Our team had the privilege of bringing to life a number of stories rooted in their folklore and history.” - @weareneonzoo Very fun one I got to be Clean-up Lead on last year ! Part of my job was finding a way to adapt Art Director’s @sabinevolkert’s lovely digital watercolours to a feasible TVPaint pipeline, finding the right brushes etc, which is maybe one of my favourite parts of the CU Lead job. You can view the full doc online. ✨ ANIMATION CREDITS ✨ Director: Elyse Kelly @e.l.y.s.e.k.e.l.l.y Producer: Rebecca Cedeño @rebeccameadowscedeno Art director / Storyboard artist: Sabine Volkert @sabinevolkert Production manager: Margaret Neely @margimation Animators: Aira Joana @airajoana, Eric Larson @eric.animates, Kat Michaelides @pbmoth Clean-up Lead: Laura N-Tamara @niwakins Compositors: Elyse Kelly, Eric Larson #NeonZoo #AnimationStudio #TVPaint #2DAnimation #Cleanupanimation #ImpactStorytelling#AnimatedDocumentary

Some of the character explorations for our grumpy cat in Henrietta Finds A Nest 😾 I was playing around here with shapes and how to create some more graphic-shaped silhouettes to match his character. The cat didn't have a formal name during production so our animation team affectionately named him Walter Herman The Third (III), as we felt a serious and regal cat needed a serious and regal name lol This scene was animated by the wonderful @eric.animates #mercyforanimals #animation #characterdesign #cats #digitalpaint #design #animationproduction
