To honor my Papa’s life, I vow to…

1. Continue helping others with the gifts I’ve been given

2. Continue trusting that he and all of my other loved ones beyond earth are guiding me no matter how hard life gets

3. Continue taking care of his daughter.

4. Say no when I mean no. Say yes when I mean yes.

5. Live my life -> Move forward despite fear

The death of a parent gave me a different lens in relationships and my own energy.

Grief on top of being an athlete AND an entrepreneur is a whole kind of challenge in itself. When energy reserves are low, decisions become crystal clear on what gives or drains my energy.

All masks fell during this grieving period.

I become more honest of what I was experiencing because I know that I couldn’t continue going through life the way I did before this grief.

I feel a little lighter than last year and I have so many people to thank.

I am proud of myself to continue processing and growing through it all. I got to truly experience and witness my own strength.

I’ve been asking myself each day what that really means.

I let this trip be mine—
to wander, to taste, to take in what was in front of me.

And somewhere along the way,
I found myself coming back to me, again and again.

Holding the things I love a little closer.

Grateful for the kind company I met along the way.

I’m ready to experience more good things.

A few weeks ago we ran our first 5K ever and had a BLAST! @diplosrunclub was an amazing experience that combined workout with music.

Highly recommend you doing one whenever you can!

And a big shoutout to the @canvasworldwide crew for the motivation. We did it y’all!

We’ve been organizing and putting together your funeral services over the past week to honor your life.

I know you didn’t want much but everyone is showing you how much they care and you’d probably feel like a lot of it was unnecessary but happy to receive anyways.

Everyone is showing up for us, your legacy.

“Have You Ever Seen The Rain” came on while I was crying on the way to your cremation service and it actually started raining.

Once I got there, the rain stopped and I walked in to meet my brothers and cousins who were all together to send you off.

My Kuyas and I closed your casket together.

After your cremation, I stepped outside with Ate Grace and it was raining so much (in summer?!).

As we left the mortuary, I turned on my car and “Here Comes The Sun” came on and I felt the sun on my skin a little extra.

These are the ways I’m already seeing how you’re showing up in my life to let me know everything will be okay.

Thank you again to everyone who has been checking in, donating, feeding us, coming to his services, etc.

As many of you have been following my journey, my dad was diagnosed with metastatic peritoneal carcinoma in July 2025.

He was officially in hospice care from August 13 until his last breath on August 31, 2025 where he was surrounded by his family at home.

My mom and I have taken a brunt of the medical and caretaking responsibilities as well as extended support from my brothers.

As grateful as we are to get to spend the last few weeks taking care of him, we are not financially prepared for everything leading up to the end of his life.

I’m asking my communities for support during this time.

Everything is in process for his funeral and memorial services with the gracious help of my cousins Ate Lynette and Ate Lizette. We are a family of organizers. 🫂

We need a minimum of $6,200 by his service date 9/8/25.

Great way to end the weekend of gigs in Vegas @ontherecordlv. It was crackin with sold out tables in the patio/living room area.

I ran a set of all things “Lovers & Friends” and even though the festival was cancelled, the room had good energy and we were vibin all the way from 10-3am.

Shout out to my wife and all the fam that kicked it over the weekend.

Who has the best KBBQ in Los Angeles? Well, let my homies tell it, it just may be @baekjeongkbbq and Im inclined to agree.

The meat was grade A and you really get treated as the crew cooks the meat in front of you. If youre not opposed to smokey meats being cooked in your face then this is the spot for you. i sat right in front of the grill so I can get all the best shots and all the best smells.

Each cut of meat was cooked to perfection and was juicy flavorful and fresh. The sides definitely tried to steal the show as each item excelled on its own. Steamed Egg Soup, Japchae, Bibimbop, Radish Kimchi Cold Noodle, every side dish did what it had to do to compliment the meat if not stand on its own.

As for the meat, Pork Bely, Pork Jowl, short rib, brisket, and prime rib made sure they would not be outdone by being the absolute star of the show with their amazing flavors and freshness.

YGTI this place and stuff meat in your face if you really want to experience a high quality KBBQ spot that stands above all else! Big thanks for the homies for putting me on!
