This weeks podcast is an @itsmusicdad episode with the stupidly talented mega-human Matt Jones aka @a.mattjones.production

It’s a fab chat with a v focussed young man who is going about growing his confidence in the right way

He writes unbelievably good songs and is a top gent on top.

Listen to the pod by searching for Finding Nico where you get your pods, or join my patreon in the linktree in my bio!

The best place to support Matts music is via Bandcamp but you can also find him on Spotify etc….

As it is #worldsuicidepreventionday Ole Music Dad over here thought he would tell you he has started a conversation with the wonderful team at @grassrootssp about getting involved with their charity and partnering with them on music event based stuff in Brighton and beyond in the near future.

I love ‘being there’ for the grassroots music community of Brighton, and as someone who has lost a couple of very good people to suicide, as well as being someone who has had to use services that have kept me from getting any further than ‘dealing with suicidal thoughts’ (which are very very unpleasant but much more common than is openly discussed), it is a no brainer for me that I try and help spread the word of their excellent resources.

The @grassrootssp website, e-newsletter and instagram feeds are all packed with useful information and pathways to educating yourself and others on helping to reduce the number of people we lose every year.

Music students, open micers, pals and followers @itsmusicdad always has his ears open to anyone struggling, even if its just to listen and maybe point you towards someone that can help with whatever is troubling you

Lord knows we all need it from time to time

Go and give Grassroots a follow and check out the brilliant Stay Alive app

Today’s budking daymaker was this fabulous feathered gentleman who stayed with me a while and gave me a fiver. People are the number one reason busking is almost always worth the effort.

If you would like to book @stupidheartsclubmusic just call my name and I’ll be there

Saw two of my OG fave music babies being bang on form in 24 hours

@delphinesmusic pulled together a five band gig and took her own set to new heights by including our @lukejbarrettmusic on bass and her sister @lucina_fortuna on drums. The set had peoples jaws dropping by the end. So so good.

Then this afternoon @itscrimsonband have just had the street bouncing at a beautiful Local Pride streetparty gig in the sunshine with lots of other awesome LGBTQIA acts and poets and all manner of fun

Also big up @georgefcrump who I just saw for the first time closing the show. Serious pop bangers that had me doing some actual cardio.

Check all these amazings acts out and help them on their way

Astonishing artwork by @timothymidnight for Songs For Sarah at Dublin Castle, Camden July 12th. A memorial and charity event for my late wife Sarah. Organised by myself @luke47831

It wouldn't be a tribute to Sarah without some Oasis now would it? @theoasissupernova & Morag are last minute additions to the bill.

ALL PROCEEDS FOR THIS NIGHT WILL BE DONTATED TO THE LISTEN FUND AS PART OF @supportkings.
