How sweet it is

2 hours and 28 minutes of pure bliss

15 months ago, I knew every excuse in the book to stay complacent

Something had to give. I begrudgingly started to work and I made a dent

5 months ago, I searched for the hardest personal challenge I could fathom at the time

I didn’t really swim, bike, or run, but I promised to run the Malibu Olympic Tri

And I worked at it every single day. 5 months of focus on this singular goal

During the 2 hours and 28 minutes, I wasn’t thinking about the race, but all that had come before it

Grateful, but I’m also damn proud of myself

I’ve got a long way to go, but It feels good to grow like this

ps - thank you to everyone who donated, we raised $3500 for @childrensla :)
