Health is economic power.

Earlier this month in NYC, the National Black Empowerment Council (NBEC) and Consensus Healthcare Consultants, Inc. (CHC) hosted VITA: Healthcare Executive Roundtable to move beyond naming health disparities and toward solutions that strengthen health, economic empowerment, and long-term vitality in our communities.

Led by NBEC Regional Director of Strategic Initiatives Florene O’Neal and CHC President Tiffany Starr McKeever, the roundtable brought together Black healthcare leaders working across investment, policy, payer strategy, global health, and government.

CBC never fails. Another phenomenal Congressional Black Caucus experience. A great balance of meaningful work, valuable connections, networking, and renewing friendships, including reconnecting with my dear friend of more than 30 years.

Grateful for the conversations, connections, and relationships that continue to grow.

My trip to Poland last week was truly incredible! 🙌🏾 Major love to @thenbecorg for organizing and sponsoring the trip to build more international relationships and contextualize the atrocities of WWII. We had dinner with the Rwanda Ambassador to Poland, toured Auschwitz and other concentration camps, visited Warsaw, Lublin and Krakow and other cities, partied and cried together. It was a truly transformative trip with an amazing group of leaders from all over the country! ✊🏾 Much love to the FRamily 🖤

This was just the beginning of the wedding celebration at UAACC in Imbaseni Village, nestled in the foothills of Mount Meru, Tanzania. 🇹🇿

Thank you, Mama C and Uncle Pete, for making this day possible and unforgettable, not just for me, but for everyone who shared it.

Tanzania, with its breathtaking landscapes and incredible people, has truly become a second home. ❤️

Well, my adventure in Italy is over. I’m grateful that I got to experience Fondi’s lifestyle and get to see my cousin, @_flowithme marry the love of her life, @lorenzo_dinia .

The wedding and reception were so beautiful! The dress and shawl that I wore to the wedding was from a small clothing shop in Italy down the street from our Air BnB. The people here were so accommodating.

Then the day after the wedding, a whole bunch of us went to the beach in Sperlonga (outside of Fondi). Fish were swimming around my ankles in the ocean! We walked down the coast, did a cold plunge, and then got gelato. I will never forget the time spent here! 🇮🇹

Yesterday in Fondi 🇮🇹 A city that is over 1,000 years old.

The castle pictured here is over 1,000 years old and is where my cousin, @_flowithme will be getting married! The fresh fruit, mozzarella, and wine here is the best I’ve ever had. The scenery here is a refreshing change of pace. More pictures to come!
