A @_flowwithcourtney appreciation post!!!

From practicing our very first sequences on each other during our 200HR YTT to holding space and teaching together.

There is something very special about making a best friend later in life, but to also watch each other grow in something we both love is such a privilege.

So grateful that yoga bought us together but even more grateful of the friendship that came from it 💕

Have you met Courtney yet? 😍
Courtney’s teaching style is grounded in helping people feel strong, supported and more connected to themselves.

Her intention is to create classes where students can explore, get curious and build trust in their own body — with the agency to make their own choices, knowing when to push, when to pull back, and what feels right for them.

Her Vinyasa classes are dynamic and energising, her slower flows still have plenty of strength and intention, while her Yin classes lean more towards rest, release and restoration.

She also doesn’t think practice needs to be taken too seriously. There’s room to play, have fun, try things and enjoy moving — without feeling like you need to get everything “right.”

“Take what you need and leave the rest”

This group, what a bunch of gems 🩵

300hr post-grad YTT immersion in Sri Lanka done. I’ve sat with it and let it all sink in a little. Back to regular programming, but also, not so much…something’s shifted.

This yoga teacher training hit different, good different, much deeper than I expected. Beliefs expanded, perspectives evolved, more awareness of all of the things.

Our teachers held and guided us so beautifully to a place where we could look inward, observe and discover our own inherent wisdom.

Challenging? Oooh yes, but we peeled ourselves open, allowed space to receive what our teachers were sharing… Truth and yoga as a pathway to discover what’s already known, everything just as it is in present moment awareness. Big stuff.

Will my in-studio yoga teaching feel wildly different? Maybe, maybe not. But I know I feel a little different so let’s see what happens.

I’m so grateful for Nicky, Ash, Flo and allll those who came on this wild ride with me. Your willingness to dive in was awesome, your support was so comforting. Bring on mentoring, let’s take this out of the bubble and into the “real” world.

Big love,
Emma 🩵

300hr YTT complete. This course wasn’t about the physical practice as we know it and teach. It delved into the history, philosophy, meditation and self enquiry of yoga — the juicy stuff of this wise and complex system.

The content, new friends, nasal/energetic cleansing (pictured hehe), ocean and pool dips, vegan food and stacks of tropical fruit made the long days of focus in Sri Lanka possible.

Final pic from my meditation and philosophy workshop. Here I’m guiding the group through an eyes open meditation 👁️

Not pictured, me using the magic of Yoga Nidra on my breaks to catch up on rest.

Thank you to my brilliant teachers @another_yogi + @ashbrown.meditation

300YTT immersion complete. And honestly… it exceeded everything I imagined.

What a group. What a team. And in many ways, I’ve surprised myself too.

In creating this training, I asked:
What is the most honest and effective way to offer this work—free from expectation, influence, and projection?

Just a raw, unfiltered integration of everything I’ve lived, studied, and realised…
Distilled into something practical, relatable, and deeply transformative.

A space where the simplest truth of yoga can be embodied - That yoga is not something we attain, but a state of being.

And so the creation began… And wow—it was powerful.

The greatest gift in my journey has been Advaita Vedanta. It clarified what years of yoga had complicated—both in theory and in practice.

So the intention was clear: To share non-duality, while using practice as preparation -
A doorway into direct experience of the Self.

Something so simple.
So obvious.
Hidden in plain sight.

Loving awareness - Effortless. Ordinary. Ever-present. Not something we find, but what we are.

The aim was not merely more information, but direct experience.

To simplify the complex.
To bring clarity where there is contradiction.
To recognise what is already here.

Because self-realisation isn’t something we achieve - It’s something we stop overlooking.

I simply wanted to be a conduit. A guide pointing to what is already present.

Because while the methodology can be intricate…The realisation is not.

It’s the closest thing there is. Here. Now.

This training wove together the full spectrum: Raja, Hatha, Pranayama, Bhakti, Karma - All held within the clarity of Advaita.

I’m deeply grateful to @ashbrown.meditation - an exceptional teacher, the likes I haven’t seen before or likely will again. And to @florencekellyyogaandmeditation for the care and space you held. This YTT wasn’t possible without you.

And to every student who trusted us - What we uncovered wasn’t something we built, but something we recognised.

A peace.
A love.
A freedom that doesn’t come and go.

Thank you for walking this path with me -
Exploring yoga not as something to attain… But as a way of being.

Stay tuned. Next one coming in October
