Kindness is always a choice. And it’s one I hope I never stop making. ❤️

This is something I genuinely try to live by every day.

Does that mean we excuse hurtful behavior or abandon our boundaries? Absolutely not. But it does mean giving people grace before assuming the worst.

I’ve never understood the need to automatically assume bad intentions or look for the worst in people. We have absolutely no idea what someone might be carrying behind the scenes.

Kindness doesn't make us weak. Compassion doesn't make us naive. And believing people are doing the best they can doesn't mean we have to accept every behavior.

It simply means recognizing that we're all human, we're all learning, and we all have moments when we don't show up as our best selves.

So, I'll keep choosing kindness. I'll keep giving grace. And I'll keep trying to see the good in people.

Because the world has enough people looking for reasons to judge each other. I'd rather be someone who looks for reasons to understand. ✨

Little Critter has been visibly displeased for decades. We can allow ourselves a moment.

“Feel our feelings” means noticing our clenched jaw, admitting we’re hurt, and giving the feeling a little room before deciding what to do. We don’t have to cry, find a lesson, or feel better on schedule. We can feel angry without sending the text and disappointed without calling ourselves dramatic.

Where were you back in 2001 when this song was released? Time keeps moving, but for a little bit the songs take us back. Life lately: a whole lot of work, a little bit of chaos, and me trying to soak up every possible second of fall. 🍂☕️

I feel like I blinked and suddenly we’re in October. Between work, projects, commitments, and all the things that somehow end up on my calendar, I’m slowly trying to find my way back into a normal routine.

But I’m also reminding myself that normal doesn’t have to mean perfectly organized.

Sometimes it looks like getting the work done, taking a drive just to see the leaves, grabbing a coffee, laughing with the people you love, lighting a candle, putting on a cozy sweater, and remembering to actually be where you are.

So that’s where I’m at lately. Working hard. Trying to slow down. Soaking up fall. Getting back into a rhythm. And giving myself permission to enjoy the little things along the way. 🤎🍁

Life doesn’t have to be perfectly balanced to still be really, really good.
