Pretty cool little video on YouTube showcasing a small snippet of the adventures the @tricergear_ @gohunt and @luke.dusenbury crew had while being hosted by @james_bath on a guided tour through some local Sambar country.
I was pretty chuffed with James idea of making a custom knife for each of them to start their welcome to Australia package ….

Always good vibes sharing our passion for hunting deer in Australia with like-minded people from outside our own community.

The more we share experiences, knowledge and an appreciation for the game we hunt, the stronger that community becomes — both here in Australia and abroad.

Good hunting, good people and a great way to showcase Australian Sambar hunting. 👍

Our new film, “Tricer Down Under,” is officially live on YouTube! We couldn’t have had a more epic time in Australia with @gohunt and @brady_j_miller, led by our new friends at @themodernhunteraustralia! This was truly a bucket list hunt for all involved. Enjoy! 🍿 Link in bio.

There’s just something special about glassing these big benches. The Victorian high country never fails to deliver the views.
The B1.2 10x42’s are in their element in these changing environments. Bush stalking on the way in, and then long sessions watching over big systems.

Whats your go to magnification for this type of hunting?

Meat on the back, suns long gone, and still a few kms back to camp. This is the part nobody sees. But we wouldn’t want it any other way.

Standing or sitting for glassing — which one do you prefer?

We do both depending on terrain and situation, but if I had to pick one for a full day of glassing, I’d go sitting. Drop your choice in the comments and tell me why.

Bonus: what’s your go-to glassing setup — tripod height, panhead, all of it.

Gear featured here is the AD tripod which allows both standing and seated positions, LP pan head on the binos and the DZ head on the spotter.

Quick circuit before the sun’s up 🌅 @_james_bath_ with 18kg loaded in his Ruckaway pack. Some people love a sleep in, this bloke loves a 5am ruck 💪

Other side of the world, and the scenery going to a hunt still never disappoints. Just some random photos I took.
