“100% of me is nothing compared to 1% of the whole team.” - Eliud Kipchoge

A thousand kilometres looks like one person on the road. It never is. Behind every kilometre James ran was a crew who ran a different race entirely. The ones who drove ahead and waited.

Who handed him food he was too tired to reach for. Who stood beside him in the dark hours when his body said stop and his mind almost agreed, and who carried the belief for him on the days he had none left to carry himself.

He crossed the distance. They crossed it with him.

Athleticism is often mistaken for a solitary thing. The truth is quieter and better than that. We go furthest when we are held.

Starting to think the point of it all is to squeeze in as many side quests as possible

What a journey helping my buddy James take on such an amazing feat for an even better cause. Running from Melbourne to Sydney, 800km+ over 11 days in a RV with strangers is an experience in itself. Beyond the running, raising awareness for such a good cause that isn’t spoken on enough. James chose to raise money through the @blackdoginst for men’s mental health. Everyone has their story and some are handed more than others. The main goal was to show others that no matter your story, no matter what you’ve been through or how hard it gets… you can keep moving forward and your NEVER alone.

You go through a lot of ups but even more downs when you decide to step into the arena and push your body to its breaking point day after day. You learn a lot about yourself, but we also learned a lot about each other. Beyond proud of this team and everyone involved. Everyone plays a very important role and the way we were able to grow as a team and adjust daily really paid off. Loved every second of it and beyond proud of James for being the man in the arena.

Hopefully this can impact the ones that truly need it and remind people that you’re never alone. The grass is always greener on the other side. Just don’t give up on yourself, because when life gets hard that means you’re doing something right.

Way to be the man in the arena @_jamesnaylor_

Looking forward to the next one 😎💪🏼

Day 8 running from Melbourne to Sydney.

After some lower-mindset moments over the past couple of days, @jamesnaylor pulled himself out of the hole. A shifted mindset, one goal, and 450km to go.

“Pain is one thing, but the voices in your head are basically the demons telling you to stop.”

Not every day is the same. You have highs, you have lows, and sometimes the lows last longer than expected. But the whole point of this is to be uncomfortable - to see what you’re made of. What you’re capable of.

Shoutout to @stullwilliamfitness for giving some well-needed tough love. After his conversation, and after @_jamesnaylor_ almost gave up, he ran the next 3 days, 12 hours per day, without complaining. His shift in mindset was incredible to watch.
