Mt Whitney 14,505ft - 22 Mile day - 15.5 hrs on the trail (same day) - 7,000 ft of combined evaluation gain 60k steps.

Thank you @thediscipletrek for this trip, Jimmy Shaw for believing I could do it and being our guide. Making new friends with Chase Counts and Ronnie Elliot while accomplishing it with fellow @wearemountainmen Bryce Olmstead. Huge bonus to have my wife @carruda with us for the acclamation hike in Yosemite.

This was the most wonderful difficult thing I’ve ever done physically. The training , the hills, the hikes and summits that preceded this prepared the way. So many great moments and lots of laughter and thankfully no injuries. I am thankful for God’s creation. He had this moment in mind from the beginning of time. “"Every particle of rock or water or air has God by its side leading it the way it should go; the clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness.”

“In God’s wildness is the hope of the world “

ORU Missions ROPES Week 2026 is complete ✅

I had the sacred honor of shepherding student through a transformational discipleship intensive before they go all over the world and spread the Gospel.

I feel reinvigorated and empowered by the Spirit of God to minister.

Soli Deo Gloria

We got a shoutout from Everest Base Camp 🤘 @_jimmyshaw will be preaching Sunday morning! He leads two organizations: DiscipleTrek and Project Doxa. One helps people wrestle with life and faith in the world’s coolest places while the other supports various missions around the world.

He’ll be opening up the book of Proverbs with us Sunday morning! Although he is currently 17,500 ft up and 1/2 way across the world. We’ll see you Sunday at 10!

Very proud of my friend @_jimmyshaw and all of the incredible work he’s done via @thediscipletrek and @projectdoxa. I had the honor of providing music for his first major fundraising banquet.

I was asked to come up and play one final song during a time of prayer and reflection and, since I didn’t know any worship songs, I played “How Sweet It Is” by James Taylor and it was actually perfect.
