Celebrate Mean Girls Day by creating your very own burn book junk journal! If you've never junk journaled before, @blkalt will be there to guide you! If you already have a junk journal, feel free to bring it, but we will have extras for those who don't! Braché (@blkalt ) would like to challenge you to create something out of our wooden shapes pile. We have lots of shapes to decorate, from initials, to signs, to frames, and more! Repost* New Visions at @ceceliacokerbellgallery An artist/curator talk with a closing reception will be held October 9th at 1 pm. New Visions seeks to flesh out unexpected connections amongst artwork and artists who practice in different media. Artworks are organized to suggest conceptual and visual connections between collective members who live in different regions but are united by their shared vision for furthering the arts through Zero Space. The included work ranges from nonobjective to representational, exploring themes ranging from the bodily to the spiritual. New Visions celebrates artistic collaboration and community, while highlighting the potential for new conceptual visions and conversation through curatorial decisions. Today is the first day of Zero Space Collective's "New Visions." Zero Space Collective is a contemporary artist network dedicated to supporting underrepresented artists through inclusive exhibition opportunities, digital platforms, and community-driven advocacy. Founded during the COVID-19 pandemic in response to limited access to space and resources, the collective continues to foster equity, accessibility, and accountability while challenging exclusionary structures within the art world. New Visions brings together artists working across diverse media and approaches to highlight unexpected conceptual and visual connections within the Zero Space Collective. The exhibition celebrates collaboration and community while exploring themes ranging from the bodily to the spiritual, emphasizing shared vision and dialogue across geographic and artistic differences. @zerospacecollective Zero Space Collective: New Visions September 14 - October 9 Closing Reception: Oct 9, 1 p.m. M-F 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Data Center with Exit Sign, 2026 Site-responsive installation modular furniture, painter’s tape, gaffer’s tape, mixed media drawings on paper and birch panel, vinyl, letterpress prints, poplar, pine, balsa, acrylic, latex, found objects, scavenged notes, studio tools, cutting mats, metronome, headphones, magnifying glass I’m grateful to have my work included in Reject the Null at Wofford College now through mid-December. This exhibition, curated by @annie.heisel.art , assembles the work of four artists working through various research methodologies: Annie herself, @_k.re.ate_ , @scottcarter.art , and me in the gorgeous Richardson Family Gallery. I admire the work and practices of these artists and encourage you to come see this show if you find yourself in the gravity of Spartanburg. Also included is my single-channel video, Particle Man (Dissipates). Both works center documenting the passage of time, both using shifting shadows as their baseline. Join us from 6 - 8:30 pm in our old stomping ground at Tapp’s! This month we’re proud to present Emily Moffitt, Cam Moore, and Kate Timbes. Our soundtrack for the night will be provided by Saiteron, and we have a special guest artist, Andrew Phillips, showing his work as well. Come shop, have a drink, and hang out with us in the alley! The artists and Jasper Board members will be on site to chat about their work.

In July the Studio Art summer research group had a long day of visiting museums and artist studios in Charlotte! We began with a visit to the Bechtler Museum to see a show curated by @moonjiha and a solo show by David McGee. Then we went to Goodyear Arts to see the studios of @qn.vu and @amy.n.herman. After a quick stop at the Gantt Center, we wrapped up the day with four visits @mccollcenter with artists-in-residence @bayleeksart and @nastassjaebony and two exhibition fellows @annie.heisel.art and @thatwillwhite. Thank you so much to all the artists who offered to share their work with us!
