@jessegwinter took on the role of Director for his student film, gaining hands-on experience leading a production from concept through filming. He worked closely with his fellow interns, making creative decisions, directing performances, and collaborating with each department to bring the story to life. It’s a great example of the real-world experience our internship program is designed to provide. Let’s continue to support the next generation of Georgia filmmakers. #GeorgiaFilm #FilmInternship #FutureFilmmakers #StudentFilmmakers #assemblyatlanta

Leon brought heart, vulnerability, and emotional complexity to the character JT in The Five Heartbeats. JT wasn’t perfect. He made mistakes. He hurt people. But underneath it all was love, loyalty, brotherhood, and the pressure of trying to survive inside a relentless industry. That humanity is part of why people still connect so deeply to this film decades years later. I (Queen Jahneen) recently had the honor of speaking with Leon about the legacy of The Five Heartbeats, Black music history, brotherhood, and the enduring impact of this iconic film. Interview link in bio. 🎙️ And join us for this special 35th anniversary screening celebration during Black Music Month. 🎬 THE FIVE HEARTBEATS 📍 Plaza Theatre • Atlanta 📅 Sunday, June 14 🕓 4 PM Hosted by Abyss Graham Post-film discussion with Ernie Suggs of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution 🎟 Tickets available now. #Leon #TheFiveHeartbeats #BlackCinema #SoulCinemaSundays #BlackMusicMonth

We love our apprentices!💛🤍 When you see the work we share here, it’s easy to imagine we have large teams of industry veterans leading our productions, programs, and posts. However that’s far from the truth! 💪The Assist was staffed in large part by our apprentices and working alumn. The #nextgeneration of representative storytellers guide everything we do at RE:IMAGINE. From hearing what they’re interested in and providing training to help them develop into the professionals the creative workforce needs to hiring them on NBCUniversal Creative Impact Lab Productions like #TheAssist, our goal is always to put their work first. ✉️RE:IMAGINE invites emerging creatives into spaces where the barriers of entry are overwhelming while providing cutting edge programs, workforce development, and job placements in this evolving industry. ✨The Assist was just that opportunity; a chance for our apprentices to Direct, Photograph, Operate Boom Poles and work in the Art Dept, Camera Department, and even G&E! A lot of our team volunteered because they love this work and have a passion and a fire to dive deeper into crafting stories that make a difference! Have you seen the Assist? Do you need a team like this to help craft a story for your brand? Comment below or DM us #TheAssist to learn more how to bring a production like this to an organization near you! 📸 @ajtodayy @bananahmae @adiol.paras
