This was 36 ✨ A year of adventures with loved ones. Making films with friends. Exploring faraway places and our own backyard. Playing for the Philippines one more time. Paddling out, roping up, and flying (fuelled by Cev’s or panne au chocolat). Winning the Saratoga cup! And honouring my family’s story in the best way I know how. Between these milestones, it was a year spent quietly dreaming and putting in the work. Embracing small shifts in perspective. Deepening friendships. Feeling genuine awe and gratitude for all that’s unfolding. This post is coming late because I spent my birthday weekend on the Sunshine Coast with my family. My mom took us on a hike (!!) to see the Skookumchuck Narrows, a place where flowing water changes direction with the tides. The point at which a tide changes directions is called slack tide, and I get the sense that this birthday represents something like that in my life. Hugs to everyone who made being 36 so wonderful. 😌

Original music for @arcteryx 2026 ‘Tune in, Out There’ A big thank you to the incredible film team at Arcteryx for bringing me on to score their 2026 brand campaign. We worked hard to create a musical landscape that ellicits the feeling of athletes in flow state. The team spent months researching flow and the numerous environmental variables that must align to reach this unique, almost magical state of being. The score marries multi-layered drones and organic textures with both Alpha (7.5-14Hz) and Theta (7-8Hz) waves — frequencies that have been associated with the suspended state in which the brain enters during flow state.

A little BTS from a shoot last spring with the @arcteryx crew. First time in a helicopter, first leafblower to the face and first hut ski trip. Long, full days with hard work, big belly laughs and the best folks - can’t ask for much more. It’s not all easy or fun but damn, life is good when this is work! 😘💚

In April, we were able to visit The Boot Factory to see their highly skilled craftsmen working on our first collaborative boot with Rolling Dub Trio. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity and for the generosity that Tokunaga-san, Miyazawa-san, Kuriyama-san, and the entire team showed on this visit. Our custom make up of Rolling Dub Trio’s Casper in a Japanese made black Oxford Calf leather will be available very soon. Video edited by Kenneth McDonald

“This is a love letter to our land and our people.”— Artist and designer Cole Sparrow-Crawford, (@colesparrowcrawford) from xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) in the Coast Salish region Arc’teryx was founded on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples, in the place now known as Vancouver, BC, and the surrounding area. By centering Indigenous voices, traditions, and directives on how to live in relationship with the land, it is our hope the community may more deeply consider what it means to be on the land, and who has been here since time immemorial. The Walk Gently journey begins with Cole’s work and story, created and told by Cole and several members of the Coast Salish community.
