Finally got my driver’s license in Fors Opal. Took a minute to actually hear what this thing wants to do — but once it clicked, I stopped trying to control it and just started sculpting. Still in the deep end. Drop a 🔊 if you’re on this one too.

$Adolescence is a form of individual growth in motion – bodies mutating, reshaping, and inventing themselves. In The Elongation Phase, Marco Heinle draws on the biological term for cellular stretching to mirror puberty as both deformation and generative force. Sounds begin tentatively, then twist and fracture: voices crack, rhythms stumble, tones stretch awkwardly, textures mutate. Growth here is unstable, crooked, yet fertile—an improvisation rather than smooth progression. Limbs elongating unevenly, voices shifting timbre, identities recombining. Humor seeps through the awkwardness, reminding us that instability is not only vulnerability but also possibility. Heinle’s sonic mutations insist that transformation is messy by necessity, a proliferation of forms without final destination. Growth becomes less about reaching completion than about inhabiting flux, embracing mutation as a vital ecological and personal condition. Created by Marco Heinle @_landobe_ *** This track was picked by our jury: “With an ingenious look at our human nature, this track reminds us of the discomfort of growing up: asymmetry and metamorphosis. It is a good example of species representation that reminds us of the biological nature of being human.” @xayide @whoissitting Lennart Posch *** About the artist: Marco Heinle (CH) is a musician from Basel. He explores sound and music through raw, unedited one-take recordings, balancing control and surrender. His work favors intuition over composition, seeking expression in the spontaneous and the imperfect. #renatura #Crescere #Growth #experimentalmusic #biodiversity #soundart #electroacoustic #electronica #elongation #puberty #$
