💛 A COMP IS ONLY AS GOOD AS THE PEOPLE BEHIND IT.

Behind every great competition is a team of incredible people who show up, roll up their sleeves, and put in the work to make it all happen.

To every volunteer who helped us over the weekend at our MD Lift Off III, THANK YOU! 🙌

From setting everything up the day before, to helping everything run smoothly on the day, and staying back to pack it all away at the end. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Your time, energy, hard work and willingness to jump in wherever needed are what make events like this possible. It’s people like you who make our community so special. ❤️

A huge thank you as well to @grilldburgers Glen Waverley🍔 for supplying burgers to fuel our volunteers on the day. We appreciate your support!

Competitors might be the ones on the floor, but it takes a whole team behind the scenes to bring a competition to life.

To everyone who played a part. We see you, we appreciate you, and we’re incredibly grateful. 💪

Thank you for showing up and making it happen!

My 7th Powerlifting Comp, and it was my absolute favourite.
My kids got to see me on the platform for the first time 🥲

They usually watch the live streams or catch up with the videos later, but they actually got to see me this time.

I want to write something cooler than this, but I can't. My heart is full, and it was all worth it. I felt like I was able to finally show them part of what takes their mum away from them so often, and I hope they can one day understand what I am trying to show them 🥹❤️

62.5kg/138lb ✅️
67.5kg/149lb ✅️ (current comp max)
70kg/154lb ❌️

I'm crying writing this, so apologies if I forget someone, but a big thank you to @zerow_geelong for an epic event! And thank you to the ref's, spotters and volunteers 🙌🏼

Thank you to my amazing sponsors, @intentactive & @elitesuppsaustralia 🫶🏼💪🏼
Thank you to @_lauraj__ for keeping me fuelled and supported and listening to my dramas on our weekly video call ❤️

To my fkn amazing coach @kelly_zerow , you are seriously my guardian angel. You see me, hear me, and understand me, you know what I'm going to do next before I even do. I absolutely adore you and I appreciate everything you do for me xx thank you ❤️

And to all the fkn legends that supported me in the lead up and on the day, thank you! Thanks Amy for these videos 🙏🏼

Rehab starts tomorrow, project Grace 2.0 incoming x

Ngl, it took a bit for me to be able to watch this without feeling sick. So after processing it properly and getting an MRI, I can finally show you guys.

The MRI showed a bit going on in there. And yes, my old horse riding injury is still causing bulk dramas, but the new additions are a disc bulge touching a nerve and L5-S1 Retrolisthesis (**see comments).

I have started back doing some light/slow walking and still doing my bench days, but until I get more assessment and instruction, for once in my life I'm actually letting it settle as much as I can.

Yep, this sucks. But I did this injury pushing the limits of what my body can do, and I wouldn't have it any other way xx

Pls excuse me while I lock in x
Feeling so determined to get a good number on the board.
I've got nothing to lose, this will be fun 🔥💪🏼💪🏼

Side note: This was my first time doing ascending sets, I actually really liked it! My creaky old joints liked it especially 🥲

Have changed to 110kg category for the comp, been enjoying the extra food and absolutely needing the extra fuel to heal my bod. Abbies are keeping warm, they'll be back one day don't worry hahaha

Feeling thicc'r than a snickerrr 💅🏼

Food & nutrition under the complete control of @laurajones_zw 🫶🏼
And @kelly_zerow is ready to give me the most epic rehab program I can feel it. Chasing results today (they are taking longer than normal to come back which is making my anxiety fkn skyrocket)

Very privileged to have such a beautiful and supportive team in my corner xx you gals are wizards 💜
