Your Steps creates a supportive atmosphere especially for freestyle beginners and intermediates. Our battle starts at 1 pm in a group phase in a cypher (dance circle). We play hip hop music throughout the event but you are free to choose your style, e. g. jazz, breaking or popping. If you have been thinking about joining battles, take your first steps with us. Bring your own style, bring your steps!

Bring deinen eigenen Stil mit, bring your steps!

Have the courage to dream big, and the perseverance to follow them to the end ✨

Thanks to @take_initiative_leuphana, the @leuphana_zentralgebaeude, the @hochschulsport_leuphana, the stunning moderation by @kiras_mindset, our incredible dance team and many many amazing people, we managed (with lots of endurance and joy) to produce this truly unique collaborative dance production!

A year ago, this was a faraway dream - a mere spark of passion. On the 18th of June it became a bright burning fire on stage spreading warmth and carrying a message to our audience: "let us learn to live with our differences and to complement each other".

XpressiveDance is a group of diverse dancers, coming from different styles and levels of experience. Our vision was to live what we preach, by bringing together our versatile expertise, empowering each other and to leave no one behind.
It makes us incredibly proud to see what we achieved and how many hearts were touched - including our own.

Inspired by and giving back to @dancingforrhinos 🤍
