POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Bayethe Makhosi Bathabile Ntuli (( @_owasemabheleni )) combines law, creative direction, storytelling, and queer advocacy to create spaces where people feel seen, represented, and connected. Raised in Soweto by a grandfather influenced by jazz, literature, African tradition, and the struggle against apartheid, and a grandmother who was a seamstress, she developed a deep appreciation for culture, history, craftsmanship, and imagination.

Although she once believed studying law meant sacrificing her creativity, @_owasemabheleni eventually integrated both paths. She uses law to advocate for others and creative direction to express ideas, emotions, and identities through fashion, images, movement, and visual storytelling.

As the founder of @afriqueerrising , she works to build community and belonging for queer people, drawing from her own experiences of navigating identity without sufficient support. Through @inganekwanetales , she explores storytelling as a way to preserve culture, affirm identity, and help people feel recognised.

Across all her work, @_owasemabheleni is guided by one central purpose: creating meaningful spaces where people can exist openly, unapologetically, and in their full complexity.
