what an HONOUR to display my charcoal art concept, "Living With Endometriosis", at the recent Asian Heritage Week exhibition!! thank you @platform.presents @asianheritageweek for platforming such powerful asian voices!!

endometriosis advocacy is a cause that's very near and dear to my heart, having been diagnosed with it last year after a long uphill battle with unexplained chronic pain for most of my life. it affects 1 in 10 women worldwide so you'd think there would be more awareness about it - but it remains so hugely misunderstood and underresearched!! this art was my reclamation of the grief, resilience and tenderness that people with chronic illness are often forced to carry quietly. i can't thank my loved ones enough for showing up to support me❤️❤️❤️

MY art!! in a gallery!! i'm living the dream 🥹 #ikickedendosass

A couple of months ago my team ‘Foreword’ won second place in the Bankstown Poetry Grand Slam. Since then, life has been life-ing pretty hard, so I haven’t had the time or space to really sit down and reflect on what that whole experience meant until now. Still, it felt important to put into words today.

Too many words for a caption here, so my thoughts are living over on Substack (link is in bio).

Immense love and gratitude to my beautiful teammates and Bankstown Poetry Slam.

thank you thank you thank you everyone
what an amazing night at asphalt march open mic feat ying!

as per request by ying, i wanted to talk about my inspiration of this months post! when i was brainstorming my ideas for this months post, i thought back to my hobby of collecting postcards, stamps and letter writing. fun fact when i was in highschool i used to write letters to this one friend of mine. we did it for about two years, sliding envelopes to each other during recess and lunch.

what better way to capture this months open mic through postcards and letter writing!
i dont say this much, i want to thank @albertxylin for giving me a space to create and capture thehe!

see everyone next month
with love,
rani

🎤✨ Announcing: Foreword at the BPS Grand Slam 2026 ✨🎤

The energy is surging, the anticipation is real 🌊⚡️ and we’re proud to introduce our next team for the 2026 BPS Grand Slam.

Meet Foreword, a team grounded in reflection, vulnerability, their poetry leans inward, asking tender questions about becoming, belonging, memory, and what it means to keep going when the path isn’t clear.

Alisha, Hayden, Sarah, and Matthew poems that feel like confessions, reckonings, and open doors.

Their work is intimate and unguarded, shaped by honesty and will invite audiences (yes, you!) to recognise themselves in the spaces between each line.

This is poetry that lingers. That listens as much as it speaks. That moves forward without erasing where it’s been ✨

The 2026 BPS Grand Slam at the iconic Sydney Opera House continues to take shape, and Foreword brings a deeply human voice to the stage one that reminds us why words matter.

Come sit with the quiet truths. Walk forward together. Hear what unfolds ✍🏽

Tickets are getting hotter and they are on sale now
