I’m honored to have been accepted into this year’s North Carolina State Juried Artist Exhibition! @ncartists_exhibition

The biggest juried exhibition in North Carolina!

Im very thankful for all those involved with the NC State Artist Committee for not only caring for our work but also highlighting all the VERY talented selected artist and curating an excellent event!

This was my first time displaying, “The Straggler, A Sailor’s Reflection” and the experience was nothing less than marvelous and filled with love and admiration for this piece of work!

I’m very grateful for my family and friends for accompanying me amidst this feat as well as making this moment that much more memorable! We’re still really just getting started on this journey and I continue to get glimpses of all that’s to come!

this was almost 2 years ago. i’ve definitely lost my spark. struggling with depression, BPD, anxiety, + PTSD over the past year and some change has definitely been one of my biggest struggles. especially being undiagnosed as a young adult/child was scary not knowing how to get to who i wanna be. questioning my worth but knowing im worthy. as days progress and i learn how to use my super powers… the loud voices slowly fade but not to far behind. i have moments where i break under pressure and the voices begin to ascend. i become weak and it all starts over again. ive yet to conquer my emotions but time has definitely been on my side. with grace i continue to carry my supper powers not to define who i am but as a badge of honor. as i continue on this journey to getting my spark back.

Sailor Blue ii. The Straggler

Who is The Straggler?

The Straggler is representative of the castaway.
A quiet but confident being. Dangerously Radical. Dangerous. Harboring a Knowing and Understanding so deeply that to exist in a world built on lies, ignorance, and materialism, is to incessantly die an inner death a thousand times over.
The Straggler exist on their own and in their own. Because atleast there’s a knowing, of truth.

Royalty in their own reality.

Their Recliner is their throne.
The newspapers representative of his connection to the real world, and the shredding of them, symbolic of his mass disdain of it as well.

The Straggler plays on the turmoil of the world symbolic of him making paper boats of newspapers..
