—> One thing I don’t want to do is overlook the people who faithfully served behind the scenes‼️ The volunteers of the 2026 Pursuing Jesus Women’s Conference were truly the MVPs of this conference! While many people see me and the speakers on the flyer/promo, the reality is that this conference would not have been possible without the amazing women of God who volunteered their time, energy, and money to serve God’s people with EXCELLENCE! 🥹 To every volunteer, THANK YOU. Thank you for your prayers, your hard work, your flexibility, your willingness to serve wherever needed, and the LOVE you showed every attendee. I am truly GRATEFUL that the Lord selected each one of you to be apart of this assignment. I truly honor you. I appreciate you. And I thank God for each and every one of you. 🤎 Special thank you to my cousin, @sheba_the_therapist , and my friend, @4evareese , who are not pictured. Love y’all so much! 🫶🏽 Annnd thank you to @onediscipleshipministries for partnering with me for this conference! I truly pray the Lord blesses y’all tremendously for y’all assistance with this assignment. I’m extremely grateful. 😭

Homecoming is not just about the football game, it is about the celebration of culture, community and reunion of students, faculty, and alumni. The homecoming season also allows attendees to form new communities with familiar and unfamiliar faces. At the Spelhouse tailgate, the AUC (Atlanta University Center) was packed with attendees ready to reunite with old classmates and be introduced to new students. While Lauren, a native of Georgia, did not attend an HBCU for undergrad (the University of Richmond in Virginia) she is currently attending the Morehouse School of Medicine. For Lauren, sisterhood means simply showing up during the good and bad times. “Sisterhood means showing up. It means not always having a good day, but still being there for someone who is having a bad day and speaking life into each other, praying with each other,” said Lauren. Lauren attended the Spelhouse tailgate to watch her cousin, who is the drum major at Morehouse College, perform at halftime. Homecoming is beyond who scores the wildest touchdown, it is everything from the preparation of selecting THE fit, coordinating meet-ups with friends, and reminiscing about college times. Thank you to Lauren for the interview. Check her out here @_lolostenson Tune into FUSION’s Diasporic Dialogues edition of HBCUs Homecoming series.

One of the recent goals of the MSM H.E.A.L is to highlight the work we do in the community. We presented two posters at the Community Health Leadership Conference hosted by @um.docs in Miama and were awarded the Best Poster Presentation for our abstract entitled “Advancing Health Equity: Evaluating The Impact Of The Msm H.E.A.L. Clinic’s Enhanced Sustainable Model On Patient Outreach And Service Delivery (2023-2024)". Look for us at conferences to come as we showcase how we advance health equity to achieve health justice for the uninsured of metro Atlanta and near rural GA. #msmhealclinic #communityhealth #CHLC2025
