Today was really just about showing up for our gente. 🇵🇷💜

Hoy tuvimos la oportunidad de once again show up, distribute food and water, connect with our community, and serve some of our viejitos and families who needed a little extra support.

And honestly, days like today are exactly what Somos el Cambio PR is about.

I really want to take a moment to thank the amazing volunteers who joined us today. 🙏🏼 They were already planning their trip to Puerto Rico, but intentionally made community service part of their time here. @_luithe1st reached out to US asking how they could get involved, raised a donation to support our work, and most importantly, they showed up ready to SERVE.

They gave their time. They carried bags. They passed out waters to cars. They spoke with our people. They came with such beautiful energy and a genuine willingness to help, and our community was so grateful to receive them. 🫶🏽

I also want to give a huge thank you to the organizers who continue to open this space to us and allow Somos el Cambio PR to come in, connect, and serve alongside them. Thank you for trusting us and for the work you continue doing for our viejitos, our families, and those in our community who need it most. 💜

THIS is community.

It’s not just talking about what needs to change. It’s building relationships, connecting resources, showing up, and asking, “What can I do?”

And whether you live aquí en la isla, you’re coming back home, or you’re visiting Puerto Rico and thinking, “How can I give back while I’m here?” reach out to us.

There is always a way to pour back into our people. 🇵🇷

Thank you to everyone who made today possible, and most importantly, thank you to our community for continuing to receive us with so much love.

The fact that I get to follow my dreams and commune with some of the DOPEST people is so incredibly motivating to me! For everyone who has thought:
-it’s too late
-I’m too inexperienced
-I’m too old
Think again!

Go do that thing that you’ve always wanted to do but are nervous/scared/trying to talk yourself out of! You never know what could happen!
