That was tough!

The goal was SUB 40. I knew it was a big ask with only 3 weeks of preparation, but I wanted to put myself out there, give it a proper push and see where the fitness was at.

Came through the first 5K in 20:04 and the plan was to kick on… but you ultimately can’t cheat the training. If you want the times, you’ve got to put the work in.

Still managed to shave a few seconds off my PB, which I set during the Hackney Half Marathon, so there are positives to take.

Was I disappointed with the time? Absolutely. But I still had fun on the streets, enjoyed being back racing and, as always, it was a pleasure to rep @mafiamoves_

More importantly, I’ve learnt exactly where I’m at and what needs to happen next.

Time to kick on. The race feeling is back, now it’s time to put the work in. The work is going to be scary 💪🏾

I gave @jeanetteyoungstylist the brief and trusted her creative process.

What followed was her interpretation of that vision, from a touch of Bridgerton, to contemporary tailoring and more relaxed styling.

I’m proud of myself for this one.

My fitness journey hasn’t always been easy over the last couple of years. Between my schedule, life and if I’m keeping it real, outright laziness at times 😂 staying consistent has definitely been a challenge.

13.1 miles! The furthest I’ve ever ran before. I didn’t even get to train as much as I would’ve liked, but the most important thing is… I DID IT! And knowing I did it for such a good cause makes the moment even sweeter❤️

I want to thank God because he got me through it, especially after mile 11 😅 I want to thank my @826active family for the opportunity, motivation and support, to my brother @michaelstephen3 You are an inspiration, what you have built with 826 has changed lives, I’m glad I can witness and be apart of your greatness too, thank you so much, I’m proud of you ❤️
My brother @2humble2stumble24 Thank you for doing the race with me, having you by my side helped me more than you’ll ever know, we did it bro 💪🏾🏃🏾‍♂️
