This past weekend, I got to step back and treat myself to a much needed wellness retreat.

And honestly… it was such a wild experience to step out of my usual role of caring for everyone else and actually be the one being cared for. Getting to try new things, meet new people, eat new foods, and journal way more than I talked 😂 (huge for this external processor).

It reminded me how much I love being curious, trying something different, and giving myself permission to just experience things.

Because none of this happened by accident.

This weekend was planned months ago. And being able to leave my house, step away from my family, and not worry about everything I left behind? That didn’t happen overnight either.

Neither did sitting around a table with strangers and feeling comfortable enough to just… be.

It’s been a slow burn. More fails than successes some days, but always with a deep desire for more life. More experiences. More curiosity.

So if this reel makes you want to explore a little more, maybe start from the back end and ask yourself:

What needs to be in place for me to feel free enough to try new things?

Maybe it starts with creating a solid home life that allows you to leave it for a little while…

So you can go play Dora the Explorer without worrying about what you left behind 🤸🏽‍♂️

“Build a life that feels good to come home to, and you’ll feel freer to go see what’s out there.”

Slowing down at sunset ✨
Candlelight Yin Yoga led by Mallory Hazen

The world feels heavy sometimes…
so this is where I come back to myself.

Protect your peace.
Move slow.
Breathe deeper.

This practice is a form of resistance.
Choosing stillness.
Holding your boundaries.
Letting what’s not aligned fall away.

A little bit of peace, on purpose.
