I thought I understood what I was saying yes to at 24. Ten years later, I realize some things about marriage can be explained to you, but you don’t fully understand them until you live them. I don’t know everything about marriage, but I’m 10 years into a healthy, beautiful one. These are some of the things those 10 years have taught me. ❤️

Happy 10 year Anniversary to us 🥂🥹 That “try” turned into 10 years of marriage, two babies, growing up together, building a life and businesses together, walking through some of our hardest seasons side by side and getting to experience some of the most beautiful ones together too.

What a blessing it is to have someone to do life with. Someone who has known so many versions of you and somehow gets to witness you become every version that comes next. To have someone beside you for the dreams you talked about before they ever happened, the prayers you watched get answered, the seasons that changed you, the moments that broke you, the ones that put you back together and all the regular everyday life in between. Thank God I tried. 🥹😜

I said yes to us then, I’d say yes to us now. @_marcusvalentine_ I’m having the time of my life & I can’t wait to walk down the aisle to you all over again. ❤️🥳

Bring your kids to work with you… Rhode Island edition. 🤭 What started as a business trip somehow turned into our very first road trip as a family of four. We packed up the @hyundaiusa IONIQ 9 with our two boys, grandma, two car seats, way too many bags, snacks, suitcase, camera equipment and everything else that comes with us these days and hit the road to Rhode Island.

I’m so grateful that the work I get to do creates opportunities like this, where I can bring my family along and we get to experience something new together. One minute I’m heading out of town for work and the next we’re making memories together somewhere we’ve never been.

I was excited about taking our first road trip in our new family car. We left home at 100% and only stopped once to charge on the way to Rhode Island. And when we did stop, I couldn’t believe how quickly the IONIQ 9 charged. By the time we stretched our legs, used the restroom and grabbed a few things, we were ready to get back on the road. The IONIQ 9 gave us the space we needed for all our stuff to (because we not light packers) lol the boys were comfortable and what could’ve just been a drive to a business trip became part of the experience itself. I think we may have officially entered our road trip era. ☺️👏🏽 #Hyundai #IONIQ9

I know what it means to get the chance to live a life on the other side of cancer. Every child deserves that same chance. Marcus and I had the opportunity to attend the Hyundai Hope On Wheels Gala in D.C. and this experience felt deeply personal for me. Having experienced cancer myself, I understand what research, treatment and advancements in medicine can mean for someone fighting it. I’m here today because I got the chance to fight and survive, so learning about the work being done to give children fighting cancer that same chance was incredibly powerful to witness.

Every 36 minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer, yet only about 4% of federal cancer research funding is spent on projects involving childhood cancer. That’s part of why the work of Hyundai Hope On Wheels matters so much. For 28 years, they’ve helped fund pediatric cancer research, treatments and survivorship, with $303 million in total giving since 1998, helping move research forward, advance treatments and support children and families impacted by cancer. But behind those numbers are real children and real families. 🥹

Each year, children impacted by cancer place their handprints on Hyundai vehicles to honor their stories of hope and courage. As a cancer survivor and a mom, looking at those little handprints, all I could think about was how much every one of these children deserves the chance to grow up and experience life on the other side of cancer too. Because at the end of the day, that’s what we’re hoping for: more research, more treatments, more survivors and more HOPE. ❤️

One day, these park dates, diaper runs and little “picnics” in the trunk will be the memories we miss the most. It’s easy to wait for the vacations and big milestones, but life is happening right here in the in-between.
