Assisted Banded Pull Ups

Focus on:
slow, controlled reps full range of motion driving your elbows down keeping your core braced as many clean reps as you can.

Start with a thicker band if you need more help, then gradually work toward a lighter band as you get stronger….

Stability ball curls~one of my favorite hamstring exercises and a great sub for the leg curl machine if your gym doesn’t have one!
Here’s how to make them work best for you…
✅ as you curl in, think of engaging your core, squeezing your glutes, and bridging your hips all the way UP, rather then staying low to the ground. Pause at top before controlling the ball back out. ✅ if these feel too hard leave the ball where it is and work on just stationary bridges so you can get used to bridging onto an unstable surface. ✅ if you want a bigger challenge, try them unilaterally!
These are tough~you still want to focus on bridging up
AS you curl in on each rep.

🔥 The bent-over row on a bench with one leg elevated is a variation of the traditional single-arm dumbbell row that offers so many benefits
1. Increased Core Engagement
Elevating one leg makes it harder to stabilize, forcing your core muscles~especially the obliques and transverse abdominis to work harder to maintain balance.
2. Greater Range of Motion
With a more open position, you can pull the weight through a fuller range of motion, leading to better muscle activation, especially in the lats and upper back. 3. Improved Unilateral Strength & Symmetry
Training one side at a time ensures both sides develop evenly, reducing muscle imbalances and improving overall symmetry.
4. Enhanced Hip & Glute Activation
The elevated leg keeps your hips actively engaged, making this variation beneficial for improving hip stability and mobility.
5. Increased Coordination & Stability
Since this movement challenges balance, it enhances overall coordination, which can translate into better performance. Ready to train with me?!?! #MariBodied

It’s not about how heavy if it sacrifices your body alignment 🚨 An easy way to know if you’re going too heavy? Watch your range of motion.
If you can squat to full depth with no weight, but as you add more weight your squat gets higher and higher, you didn’t suddenly lose mobility...the load just exceeded the strength you for that full range.
Same goes for almost any exercise
- bench: you stop hitting you chest
- hip thrust: you are actually hitting full extension
- leg press: knees barely bending, not lowery fully in the stretch
- shoulder press: turn into half reps, you are lowering fully
If adding more weight starts shortening your range of motion, you’re probably not strong enough for that weight yet. #CoachMariBodied #legday #form #bodyalignment

This is how I spent nearly every day this summer, even at the beach, I was in the books! 📚🌊
Never think for one minute that anything worth having comes easily. It takes time, sacrifice, dedication, discipline, and consistency.
As a Certified Personal Trainer, this is my promise: I will never ask someone to do something that I’m unwilling to do myself. I will lead by example, practice what I teach, and be right there motivating you through the work.
I studied. I sacrificed. I stayed consistent. And I did it! YOU WILL TOO 💪🏽🏆
