POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Couldn’t edit anything out, so here’s a long one 😂 Harry Potter Monopoly, frisbee night, and the entire Day 4 are missing. Day 4, especially, is something that should never see the light of day and must be forgotten with time 🤣🤣🤣

Eight friends. One car. 1600+ kilometres. And absolutely no idea what we were getting ourselves into.

We decided to leave at 2 a.m. Three drivers, so we split the drive and Kethan took the first shift.

First stop? Virar, obviously. Had to drop some things for Nanu, and, well… loo break. Somehow, no matter where we’re going, we always end up in Virar.

From there, Ahmedabad to pick up Muzaina, and then straight to Jawai.

Eight people. One car. Eight handbags. No more than one handbag each. That was the rule for four days. And somehow, we made it work. Very cramped. Slightly chaotic. Absolutely worth it.

The drive itself became half the trip, coffee being made in the car, vlogging while everyone slept, music, singing, random conversations, nostalgia, stories, life updates… basically everything that could possibly be discussed over 16–18 hours.

We stopped for some really good food along the way, took our breaks, switched drivers, and eventually made it to our retreat in Jawai.

And the property? Unreal. @jawairetreat

A plunge pool inside the room, which obviously meant the boys immediately claimed that room.

Then, during the room tour, we spotted a MASSIVE insect on the window. We genuinely had no idea what it was. I slid the window so it was trapped in between and spent the next half hour trying to figure out how we were supposed to deal with it.

And then obviously, I couldn’t resist the plunge pool.

By the time everyone freshened up, it was already 11–12 at night. We sat around, spoke about the next day, made plans, caught up…

And ended the night with our famous dance.

And that was just Day 1.

I genuinely don’t know how this trip is going to fit into a reel.

A trip doesn’t always mean a week-long vacation, 12 days with your friends, or boarding a flight to somewhere far away. Sometimes, a trip is just a 1.5-hour drive, good music, your group, pickleball, a great brunch, even better dessert, a lot of random conversations, and being back home before you know it. 😂

Also Thank you @tanyayyaayy for the treatttt😛😂

Day 5: Final dayyyy🇸🇬

I genuinely can’t believe five days went by this fast. Every day somehow kept getting better.

Tanya and I started the last day with a 6 km run around Marina Bay. Of course, it rained. 🌧️ But the rain, wind and sunshine made the weather perfect. We barely felt tired.

Then we cycled back to the hostel, another 10 km through the parks and streets. It was so beautiful that I barely recorded anything. Sometimes you just have to enjoy the moment.

After all that empty-stomach cardio, we attacked Katong Bakery. 😂 The croissant sandwich was so good that I completely forgot to document it. I did manage to save the oatmeal cookie for the camera though. Priorities.

While Mark and Tanya went to a museum, I headed alone to the TreeTop Trail.

If you’re into hiking and nature, don’t miss this. Beautiful trails, dense greenery and moments where you genuinely forget you’re in Singapore.

I also met a few strangers who helped me along the way, including one uncle who stopped me because I was going the wrong direction. Once again, travelling reminded me why I love talking to strangers. ❤️

Later, we caught a French orchestra performance at Botanical garden, surrounded by thousands of people.

Then came the National Day fireworks rehearsal. 🎆

And honestly… WOW.

Easily one of the best fireworks shows I’ve ever seen. I finally understood why people come to watch a rehearsal!

We somehow also made it to the top of Marina Bay for free. Don’t ask how. 🤫

And because the day wasn’t chaotic enough, we ended the night at a casino.

Started with $50 on roulette.

Somehow turned it into $175.

Celebrated with ice cream and kept the rest for the travel budget. 😂

And just like that… Singapore was over.

Five days. Countless experiences. So many memories.

One of the best trips I’ve ever had.

I fucking enjoyed every second of it. 🕺

Day 4: Culture, ice cream & a little bit of revenge. 😌🍦

Started the day the same way I apparently start every day in Singapore now, waking up early and wandering through the streets.

Once Mark and Tanya were up, we headed to Chinatown. Beautiful streets, vibrant markets, endless souvenir shops, and one of the most peaceful places we visited, the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple.

We spent around 10–15 minutes meditating there, learned about Buddha’s teachings and the temple’s history, and honestly walked out feeling lighter than we walked in. I don’t know what it is about monasteries, but they always leave me feeling calm.

After picking up a few souvenirs, we found this fun little stamp trail where each floor had a different stamp. Collect them all, and together they create one complete artwork, a pretty cool keepsake.

Then came one of my favourite stops in Singapore...

Uncle Chieng’s Ice Cream. 🍦

Probably the best few dollars you can spend. I tried the yam flavour (first time ever!) served between biscuits, and it was incredible. Even got a photo with Uncle himself.

The evening was reserved for SuperPark After Dark, and it was absolute chaos, in the best way possible.

Imagine neon lights, DJs, glow bands, and arcade games... except everything involved running, jumping, cycling, basketball, archery, obstacle courses, and even “The Floor is Lava.”

Basically, an arcade built for adults who refuse to grow up.

To make it interesting, the three of us had a challenge: whoever lost the most games had to buy ice cream for everyone.

It all came down to the final air hockey match...

Me vs Tanya.

Let’s just say... it wasn’t even close. 😌🏒

Tanya lost.

The ice cream was on her.

Four days in, and somehow every day keeps getting better than the last. ❤️

Day 3 = My favourite day in Singapore. 🌊✨

Somehow woke up at 6:30 AM and decided to explore Bugis Art Street alone. Colourful stairs, painted walls, even the 7-Eleven looked aesthetic. Grabbed an egg muffin and coffee from a tiny food truck, and it couldn’t have been a better start.

Once Mark and Tanya woke up, we headed to Sentosa. Started with axe throwing, where our 10-minute session somehow became 25 minutes because the owner got busy. Luck was definitely on our side.

Then came the most expensive pizza of my life. 🍕₹3,500 for ONE pizza. At that point, enjoying it wasn’t a choice anymore... it was financially mandatory. 😂

Next was Asia’s longest slide, a quick burst of adrenaline, followed by a swim in the sea while Tanya took a power nap.

Then came the highlight: HydroDash.

Imagine Takeshi’s Castle in the sea. No phones, no GoPros, no proof... but hands down one of the best experiences of the trip. We finished the entire obstacle course and even did a cliff-style jump into the water.

Ended the activities with an 18-hole mini golf course...

And yes, I won. 😌🏆

The Wings of Time show was the perfect ending before walking through a beautifully lit Sentosa at night.

Finally, a huge shout-out to Winner, whom we met at our hostel. I won’t reveal his secret 🤫, but thanks to him, we got to do almost everything that day for free.

That’s what I love most about travelling. Sometimes the best part isn’t the places... it’s the strangers who become part of your story. 🕺

Day 2: Universal Studios = Awakening our inner child. 🎢

We reached at 9:15 AM for a park that opens at 10, fully convinced we’d be the first ones in line.

We were not.

There were already so many people waiting. 😭

The second the gates opened, we started sprinting. No shame. In Universal, speed = shorter queues.

Pro tip: Reach early. Even on a Wednesday, popular rides had wait times of 60–120 minutes.

Our favourite? Revenge of the Mummy. An indoor roller coaster that had us screaming, laughing, and immediately getting back in line. We rode it three times because once clearly wasn’t enough.

Then came the Transformers ride.

The queue said 60+ minutes. We thought, “This has to be legendary.” Two hours later, we finally got on… and the ride ended in what felt like 2 minutes.

We looked at each other like, “We really waited two hours for… that?” 🤡

Honestly, it was so underwhelming that it became one of the funniest memories of the day.

Between rides, we also tried winning giant plushies at the carnival games.

The plushies won. ☠️ 😭

We did every single ride by around 7 PM, and instead of rushing out, we spent the last hour just walking around, enjoying the lights and soaking in the atmosphere.

Another tip: Skip lunch. Carry a protein bar or snacks and use lunchtime to do the popular rides while everyone else is eating. Your future self will thank you.

By the time we left, almost everything in Singapore had shut for the night, so we wrapped up the day at one of the city’s prettiest 24-hour McDonald’s.

And because apparently we still had energy left…

We went back to the hostel and me and tanya had Jenga battle till midnight.

Jenga gave me the final rush because I won… and @tanyayyaayy lost. As usual. 😂

Also, I made it a mission to try a new Magnum flavour every single day because why notttt. 🍦 Day 2’s winner? Pistachio Belgian Dark Chocolate. Absolutely worth it.
