POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The best part about being an artist is that you get to interpret the world around you the way you experience and see it from your perspective. No one else can tell you how to do that.... Art has the potential to make a huge impact on politics, society, and humanity as a whole...... The more you make, the more you are able to see what is working and what isn’t and the more you will be able to grow. The more you work, the more you catch onto things. It is the artists who put in the work that get somewhere with their artwork.

∆NSUKKA BREEDS IN ENUGU🎨 >> Swipe>>
What is Art for? What is the role of artists in a society. Why must we collect art especially when it's about us and was made by our own people? These are questions with clear answers already as we present to you these fresh offshoots from the Department of Fine and Applied Arts, University of Nigeria Nsukka (a.k.a The Nsukka Art school).
This post also presents the opportunity to get to know these artists, connect with them personally and more importantly to encourage us to build our own collections. Today is not too late to start.
These young creatives from Nsukka, having just concluded their undergraduate programs are currently exhibiting at the @centreformemories in Enugu. A group of 14 artists telling stories of their unique experiences through pieces art.
"Art" is self expression but art has to be shared for it to complete its full cycle and that is what this is all about. Please do not forget to share and tag a friend who needs to see this exhibition. The exhibition runs until November 18th, 2023.

On the 27th of October, six members of our esteemed society exhibited alongside other Art grads of 2022 from the Nsukka Art school at the @centreformemories in Enugu. It was such an experience and an ambient space for conversations on the artists' journey, experience and thoughts.

PS: The exhibition runs until the 18th of November 2023.

∆NWA ALA' PORTHARCOURT
Truly, I've been taking some time to soak in all that has transpired through the weekend. The final phase of our Nwa Ala tour-exhibition, beautifully curated by @prim_ochuba was finally opened here in Portharcourt at the @delarokeartgallery to a very receptive audience who were obviously engulfed by what they saw as they further attested to how different and "new" it was. Evidently reaffirmed once again, is the importance of sharing stories and displaying our distinct unique traditions and creativity.
For myself and the family @10_for_10_art_society_ it was a surreal experience and just to quickly add, that wasn't all the story, in fact it was a wholesome experience entirely for a group of young, budding and ambitious Artists from the @nsukkaartschool as we also got to connect with other young creatives and Great Master Artists from around and within the city in the likes of @diseyetantua and @kpodohism
Love brought us all here and we're taking all that love back home. Thank you Portharcourt. Daalu. ❤️‍🔥 🙏🏾

*The exhibition is open until the 23rd of June 2023
