What a JOY it was to host a Welcome Party at my home for our very FIRST Artist-in-Residence, Mz. Flo Walker-Harris!

Y’all know I LOVE showing a little Southern hospitality, so giving Mz. Flo a proper Memphis welcome was such a special treat!

Mz. Flo has already brought so much excitement, creativity, and fresh artistic perspective to our dance programs! From our Early Explorers dance classes to new movement and performing arts techniques for our students, teachers, and parents, her impact is already being felt throughout our community!

We are SO thrilled to have her here with us all the way from New York as Lausanne’s inaugural guest Artist-in-Residence! I can’t wait to see all the wonderful inspiration, learning, and artistic growth these next few weeks will bring. What an exciting opportunity for our Lausanne family and the greater Memphis community! 💙💛

Welcome to Memphis, Mz. Flo! We’re so happy you’re here!

I definitely wish I took more pictures, but I was just in awe to be in the presence of so many greats. This was a full on masterpiece of an event. Great food, great performances, and all black excellence all around. I definitely will be back for the next one next year. Special shout out to @mrfitz_ for his work in the event. Glad to see you doing big things, bro. Only up from here.

#Storytime with Berri 🍓🫐✨

8 years years ago I was at a crossroads…
4 years of living in LA
3 years of college wrapped (BFA secured)
1 decision to make

☝🏽To #stay or to #shift?

Thank you God for the ability pause…for wise counsel.
The shift was absolutely purposeful. 🙏🏽

✨I am because these women were and are.

✨I walk with my head held high because I saw these women do the same.

☝🏽When you see me, you see the fruits of their labor…their love…their teachings.

🍓Thank you God for aligning Studio One in my life.

🫐Thank you for the light, the resilience, and perspective of excellence stitched in my foundation.

✨Continue to guide me on the path of paying it all forward.

Ase 🙏🏽

2026.2.8: Life Changes (CT & NY)

Woosah! I feel like the poster board for persevering through life changes. Career shift, death and grieving, divorce, relocation, educational shift, post graduate decisions while growing young boys to responsible men. I am a witness that God gives you what you can handle.
