Ghost Bridge is out today! Six songs about disappearing.

It’s been eight years since we released Tiny Houses and Anemone Red. I’m so proud of what we’ve managed to pull off since then. Jason, Em, Matt, Peter, Pat, Lucas, Evan, Peter, Frank, Abi, Addie, Jack, and Heeyoon: thank you for bringing this music to life with me. This band is a moving target, but y’all never hesitate to throw on the blindfolds and see what we hit.

Thank you to Lucas Knapp for engineering, mixing, and keeping the horizon in view. You’ve held the ladder for me creatively now nearing a decade and I am excited to keep reaching with you. You never settle for “just okay” and that’s why our record sounds so good.

Thanks to Matthew Chasney for the photography. You understood my vision early on and contributed mesmerizing photos that bring the world of this record to life. Thanks to Francis Lyons for designing the album art with your effortless care and attention to detail. You’re one of my biggest inspirations.

Thanks to William H. Travis and Ryan Collerd for documenting the rare instances we are all in the same room together. Thanks to Winston Cook-Wilson for writing about the album, our conversation made me feel understood in a way I don’t always feel. Thanks to Evan Welsh for the unwavering support and encouragement. Thanks to Cody DeFalco for translating this album to other people. Thanks to Frank, Jon, and Dylan at Dear Life for the foundation. I love running a record label with y’all.

Finally thanks to Meggy and Sonny, the core of my world.

Enjoy the music, everyone.

We love you @dottersbooks 📚🧚🏻💕✨🌈

It’s always a great day to support ur local bookstore, frequent the library, and practice MEDIA LITERACY !!

Not easy out in the world (which is literally what this song is about) and it’s been feeling particularly dark lately but there are such pockets of goodness. Be sure to visit those pockets frequently :)

Hi all!

If you missed the bulletin board these pals and their band hands will be returning to the hill Oct 3rd & 4th for a doozy double header weekend of shows. It’s our last hoorah of the season and we’re grateful to be able to spend it in such good company.

This is just a gentle nudge to come on up the hill for this one. It’s not only going to be real life, but real good.

Twas’ a blast raffling once upon a time ago, so we’re bringing that back for the shows too! Dilly dally dahlias might be had, but they might be dry dead dahlias🫠we like those too😊

These shed shows continue to help reenergize the spirits to the next mile markers. Thankful for all the good peoples that make it so.

Hope you can join us for what is sure to be another special weekend celebrating new albums, seasons, and friends, and more 🎂🥂

☀️ Join us this Saturday from 2 - 6 pm for the Mainspring Arty Block Party! Keep swiping for a preview of the schedule for the day; this free event will celebrate art and our community with family-friendly activities, including art making stations, skateboarding demos and instruction from Anthem Skateshop, cookie decorating demo from the Caledonia Bakery, yoga for all ages, food from local fundraising groups, lawn games from The Wired Rooster and Oaktree Festivity Rentals, and live music from Mike Munson + Pat Keen, and Alex Toast. A big thank you to everyone involved for making this day so special!

New this year, Mainspring will be hosting a Garden Quilt Silent Auction! These smaller barn quilts created by local artists will be for sale, along with a small crib sized quilt donated by Mary Mell! Thanks to the talented garden quilt artists: Lindsay Krage, Molly Brown, Kara Maloney, and Katarina Amdahl. All funds raised by these silent auction items will support Mainspring's accessible community arts programming.

We're sure hoping the weather turns around, but in case of rain, the Block Party will move indoors at Mainspring.

I’m still reeling from last weekends duo performances with @_patkeen_ at @undertheoaksmusicfestival ! @o_sweet_nothing from @goldenoakmusic sat in with us on a few too! I met so many beautiful people and had the privilege of sharing the stage and listening to so many talented musicians. It’s pretty incredible the festival @goldenoakmusic has put together over the last few years. I know @undertheoaksmusicfestival will be a new yearly tradition for us. thanks to everyone who came out and supported live music! you are loved.
