POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Join us at Solace Bar on October 31st for a day-to-night celebration of the people, sounds and creative energies that have shaped the label over the past five years.

Born in Naarm/Melbourne, Club Elevate has always been about more than music. Through the label, podcast, events and collaborations, it has created a platform for local and international artists to share their work, stories and influences while building genuine connections across Melbourne’s diverse creative community.

The 5th Birthday brings that community together in one space, beginning with a curated community market featuring Hotplate, a collaboration between @solace.bar and @_pinsnneedles. The market will host record sellers, food, and stalls by local creatives, as well as an interactive vinyl masterclass with one of Naarm’s most trusted selectors. As day moves to night, the focus shifts towards the dancefloor, with music by @afrodisiac.au, @blinkybill.1, @char.rooney, @dj.earlgrey, @jd____________ly, @lums_world, @mordi_mcfly, @ricky_nord and @trreyclark. The space will also be transformed by immersive art and decor installations to create a distinctive visual identity for the celebration.

More than an anniversary party, the event is an opportunity for us to show gratitude to our people, the reason Club Elevate exists and the reason it continues to evolve.

Tickets on sale now via the link in our bio. See you there 💛

We return to Angel Music Bar.

Soon, we’ll meet again; cradled in an inner city nook. Its walls to be pushed and morphed by sounds and shrieks. Upstairs will feature none other than Eora-based Tangela, local icon Mabel, and Pins ‘N Needles. Expect sounds that are bass-forward, trippy, glitchy and set to have you movin’ and shakin’. Downstairs will host local connoisseurs of deeper house sounds; JD, Spuds & Kissa, and Luk.

Lineup (A-Z):
• JD @jd____________ly
• Luk @groovinwaves
• Mabel @youdoghead
• Pins ‘N Needles @lousechange @raphaelcommins
• Spuds & Kissa @caryssasharp @paddy__jc
• Tangela @tangela__t

Timing is everything in life.

The train door closes in your face, your life course alters. The alarm you set never went off, your life course alters. You run into your ex at a farmer’s market while you’re dusty and have a piece of spinach in your teeth from your breakfast roll and your hot water didn’t work that morning so you skipped on the shower and your hair’s a mess, your life course alters....

Come around this weekend between twelve and five P.M. at Solace and grab a print! Digital prints are a huge part of my practice, I’m constantly going back and forth from paintbrush to Photoshop, and I’m just glad I can finally get some of these into a physical form. A lot of these works have never been seen before, they usually just hide on my computer, but this felt like the perfect time to get them onto paper. Printed myself on my industrial printer, she’s been through a lot but just got serviced, and honestly I’ve never seen crispier prints in my life 🥰They’re signed, only two of each, fifty bucks a piece. Would love to have a chat and grab a beer with you there.
Thanks to @_pinsnneedles for having me!!

Recordings are live, in the hope they carry you from this weekend to the next.

6 hours of music provided, and the in-house recommendation is to play them in order.

@_pinsnneedles deeper selections draw you in with intention and control, with some unreleased tracks and plenty of fine wax.

@alexvarveris_ reaches for some deeper cuts while building the pace, both reading and guiding the room. It did wonders on the floor and loses no allure on the second (or 5th) listen.

The last three hours cover much of what defines @mistrdean (‘s) appreciation of music at this point in time. It’s a mix led by taste, interest and experience that brings the dancer (or listener) along for the ride.

Thanks to Jack for mastering the recordings.

Records are pressed, and in transit.

Dig deeper.
