Tonight we open!

After months of dreaming, experimenting and creating, Sky Cities: Futures in Flux finally opens at @avagallery.za in Cape Town.

🎶 Also presented alongside Sky Cities is Umoya: the listening filed (2026), an independent audio artwork by PURE @_purely_ , Denise @denise_1n- and Sage Botanicas @saaa_ge, in dialogue with the visual work.

I am feeling such deep gratitude for the blessings in these last months - being able to share my visual art live, vj’ing visuals created over many years for and with so many artists & friends at the Smithsonian Museum for African Art, our VR project “We Walk The Bridge Of Worlds” being selected into the pitching forum for IDFA and right now being at BLINK with a mural projection collaboration with @ellenalourens

And then our Futures_past project soon to be shared with the world at the end of this month’s immersive exhibition opening

Very happy to share that “We Walk The Bridge of Worlds” has been selected for @idfadoclab 2026!

We’ll have the opportunity to pitch the project in Amsterdam, at one of the leading international platforms for financing and co-production in documentary and new media. We’re incredibly proud to be recognised alongside so many outstanding projects from across the globe.

This journey so far has been made possible thanks to the support of @electric_south, goetheinstitut_southafrica, @canonrsa and @tschukutschuku at @unam_performing_arts & @owelacollective. We’re so grateful to have them alongside us as we take this next step.

Can’t wait to bring the project to Amsterdam!
