从布里斯托回到了伦敦，在这个飘起细雨的秋天。无数次说着想要离开的我，又回到了这里。

A closer look at the works presented in Resonance. (Part 3)

Held at 67 York Street Gallery from 19-21 September 2026 as part of London Design Festival, Resonance brought together 20 artists to explore how emotional, cultural, and historical imprints become embedded in matter and how these vibrations continue to move through objects long after their creation.
Through atmospheric installations and tactile encounters, visitors were invited to slow down, tune in, and experience each artwork not only visually but physically and emotionally. The exhibition formed a shared field of frequencies between artist, object, and viewer, offering a contemplative counterpoint within the dynamic landscape of London Design Festival.

从天气说起。
后知后觉大约是我性格最真实的注脚。以至于在十多年后，在阳光明媚的海边城市，我才第一次开口对身边的人说起，我很想她。想念那时被雷雨裹挟的夏夜她给我讲的恐怖故事，想念她总是率真的生活态度。我讨厌烟味，但她抽烟的样子我却非常想念。家里老院子里的柿子树还在，金银花和黄桷兰也许也还开着。“外婆”这个词已经很多年没有说出口了，但好像，也从来没有走远过，只是我终于可以说思念。

Resonance Exhibition · Artwork Highlight — Drift by artist Qinlin Yang (@_qinlinyang_ )

This work began as an improvisation without a preliminary sketch, unfolding in response to the movement of emotion. Fleeting fragments of scenes emerging from memory were inscribed onto the copper plate through mezzotint, as an experiment in the mark-making possibilities of this historic technique. The fine, densely worked traces left by the rocker allow inexpressible emotions and time to accumulate gradually within the material. Rather than depicting anything specific or clearly defined, the image builds through overlapping layers, much like memory itself. The copper plate thus becomes a material archive of bodily gestures and past experiences.

Qinlin Yang is a Chinese artist living and working in London. Born in 1992, she received her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Art Design from Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology before completing a master’s degree in Illustration and Book Arts at Anglia Ruskin University in the UK.
 Yang’s practice explores the emotional and psychological transformations that take place through migration, with a focus on identity, belonging and feminist narratives within diasporic contexts. Drawing from her experience of living across different cultural environments, she connects individual memory with wider histories of migration and shifting global conditions. Her work incorporates fragments of recollection, personal objects and symbolic imagery into spaces that feel temporally unstable and emotionally charged. Through metaphor and reconstructed scenes, Yang examines how the pressures, ruptures and negotiations of cross-cultural existence shape memory, identity and the search for belonging.  Artist: @_qinlinyang_
