It’s hard to put Saturday night into words, but let me get into my feels…

I have been working towards this moment for longer than I can properly explain. Otrovert has been a labour of love, a process of healing, and at times a deeply personal reckoning with who I am and where I come from. Being in the gallery on Saturday night, surrounded by the people who showed up, people I love, I felt nothing but pure, overwhelming joy.

To every single person who came out to celebrate the opening, thank you. From the bottom of my heart🫶

The energy from the moment doors opened right through to the end of the night was something I will never forget. The Mayor. The lead councillor. My high school teacher. People from every single chapter of my life. My family. Friends I grew up with. Friends from London. Friends I met on the other side of the world. All of them in the same room, in Barry, celebrating something I made. I don’t really have all the words for what that felt like. It was so special man.

It was exactly what I wanted the night to be. Not just an exhibition opening, but a reunion. A homecoming. A party. A chance to celebrate your roots and the place that first shaped you, while also honouring the journey and every person you’ve met along the way. I wanted it to feel like a celebration of all of us. I hope that it did.

I would have loved an hour with each and every one of you. I hope I got to everyone, even for a moment.

This is a night I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Thank you for giving me a true welcome home and celebrating my work. BIG love💕
