When @alexandra_longanecker bought this incredible 1959-1960 Balenciaga she bought it knowing it was not absolutely perfect. She was a little nervous about taking the chance on it and so then I was SUPER nervous about her taking a chance on it too! But once she had it in hand she ended up turning to @_shaoyangstudio …

“a friend who is taking couture classes at Parsons and he was the only one that wanted to touch it. Everyone else was really scared to take on the project but Michael was so wonderful and was excited to be able to work on such a special piece. He did an amazing job and I think it turned out really well considering she is over 67 years old!”

Alexandra wore it to the “A Legacy of Light” Gala and she told me that she “ended up getting the @manoloblahnik @balenciaga collaboration shoes and that felt so perfect. And I wanted to wear gloves because that what Christobal would have wanted!”

I asked her what it was about this particular dress and she said that “I think for me to be able to own and actually wear an original Cristobal Balenciaga. It is something l’ve always wanted for my collection. The glass sequins and beads have a special sparkle that’s so distinctive and was meant to be worn by candlelight in Versailles.”

Indeed it was!

(And yes that is @cameronsilver - and yes she also landed in the @townandcountrymag write up on the event with @catalin.vv photos!)

This custom project was a labor of love for a friend of over 20 years! He’s an avid gemstone collector and sent me this lovely emerald and pair of oval lab diamonds to create the three stone ring of his dreams. The directive was to be glamorous, show off the stones, and look a little historic. I’m proud of how this ring turned out and I’ll say yes anytime I get to work in 14k yellow gold✨✨✨

I am so excited to see this stunning custom three stone ring cast in ✨14k yellow gold✨ soon! It’s going to be so glamorous (unlike my manicure in these pics) with this stunning emerald and two oval diamonds bringing your eye down to the rounded band. If you have a custom creation in mind get in touch and I would love to help you bring it to life. Stay tuned for the finished results soon!
