For our mid-race recovery station at @huttonbrickyards, we built a Recovery Hub in partnership with @on that housed physical therapy, massage, hydration, nutrition, and music.

Led by @jhartnettdpt, our team of PT’s kept our racers fresh and focused on their 400 mile endeavor. Thank you @_shaunstacks @timdowney_dpt @jennypupu for the table time, @getrally.co for the massage units, and @neil.macc for setting the vibe.

Located in what used to be Sammy’s Noodle House, Chef Riccardo Orfino from @osteria57 @alicerestaurantnyc brings us delicious gelato using only natural ingredients. 🍨

We tried and enjoyed the passionfruit mango & lemon. 🥭 🍋 Perfectly refreshing for hot summer days.

Today was a good day

Andre (2nd pic) is one of my favorites to train with because he constantly pushes me, but keeps it playful. To me, that’s the best kind of training.
Shaun (3rd pic) always shows up with good energy and focus.
Always a good vibe when these guys are around.

Last weekend we partnered with @borisandhorton cafe for a community dog jog around Williamsburg! 🫶🦮🏃‍♀️

This was a first-time adventure for the staff, clients, and pups of SESSION and what a success it was! The jog was very scalable to all fitness levels and the pups were even more excited to get some movement in for the day. 🐾

It was extra special because the team got to spend some time together after and enjoy cold brew and pup cups 😋 - some pups even decided to take their jog straight to the 🍨 instead 😅

Who wants to see more of these soon? 🙋

Teaching group mobility classes has been a fun, new challenge for me. Getting over the nerves was the first obstacle. Prior to this year, I can probably count the number of times I had to speak in front of large groups with my hands. I’ve worked with clients/patients one-on-one for most of my career, so adapting the program to accommodate a large group with varying levels of mobility was another challenge. I’ve also been trying to keep people engaged by making the classes more dynamic and interactive through movement flows and partner drills. Thank you to everyone who has attended a class thus far and thank you to @sessiontraining_ for allowing me to teach!

Catch me teaching every last Tuesday of the month at SESSION’s north Williamsburg location 📍

Shout out to @emiliolaraac for the 📹

Happy birthday to our one and only in-studio physical therapist, @_shaunstacks 🎂

Shaun is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and has been working in the health and wellness space since 2008. We’ve been lucky enough to have him with us since 2021, when he started his solo physical therapy venture. His favorite thing about working at SESSION is how warm + welcoming the people are, which makes for a very pleasant work environment!

Shaun is a lover of 🏄 & 🏂 — lately, much of his free time has been spent training Brazilian jiu jitsu. This past year has been amazing for Shaun & he thanks a large part to the SESSION community, as him & his wife were able to buy their first home in Brooklyn! 🏠

Shaun’s goal for the next year is to create an online library of rehab programs for various injuries so that those who can’t access his treatment can have a resource for high quality physical therapy. If you see Shaun working in The Lab, take a moment to wish him a very Happy Birthday!

Here’s to many more amazing years ahead! 🎈
