My voice was a bit shaky to start but once I got started there was no looking back.

9 months since standing in front of a group and teaching for a whole day, but I always love being a small part of someone’s experience in growing in this industry.

A class that goes well is a lot more than turn up and see how it goes.
It truly takes a team and so grateful for our village and the people that support from near and far ✌🏼

The working mom.

I see you.
You’re Booking doctor’s a dentist appointments while sitting in an airport heading to lead a hair show.
You’re Reading the school newsletter in the break room.
You’re holding Holding space for the person in your chair, listening to their deepest thoughts, then mentally shifting into a “teacher’s helper” during processing time.

You’re Noticing the reminder pop up on your phone to book summer camps… in the middle of winter… while your hands are gloved and covered in color.

You’re up at the crack of dawn to be a school mascot and then 15 minutes later you’re back to guiding clients on hair loss solutions.

You’ve stretched yourself in ways no one talks about.
You’ve built a kind of strength that balances care, creativity, and responsibility all at once.
It’s not small—it’s extraordinary.

But let this be your gentle reminder:

Every time a client walks into your space and sits in your chair to take a moment for themselves…
you deserve that same grace too.

Pause. Breathe. Honor yourself.
You are doing more than enough—and you are doing it beautifully.

@evopro Train the trainer Toronto 2026 🇨🇦

Better late than never, here’s a little recap of an unforgettable week.

So grateful to be part of this inspiring annual event. There’s something special about coming together with friends from all over the world sharing ideas, learning from each other, growing together.

Every year I leave with new knowledge, fresh techniques, and so much energy. Looking forward to bring all of that back home and continuing to grow together with our community.

Thank you to everyone who made this week so special. Already looking forward to the next one 💛

A more serious follow up to my last reel:

When I made the decision to move on from the company I had been with for so many years, it truly felt like a piece of me shattered. I went to my first hair show at 17 and was completely enamored by the talent on stage. I wanted nothing more than to stand amongst that talent — and I did for many years. The people I met during that time became family. So even knowing some would always remain family, choosing to move forward felt like going through a divorce.

Evo Hair was mentioned to me by @renee.valerie and I decided to give it a look. That first Google search and email was simply to try the product. A week later I was on a call with @jay_k_kownacki. He wanted to know more about me and asked about my interest in education. I was hesitant — my heart was still broken. But I said I’d be open to learning more. Never did I imagine I’d actually be working with them.

I stepped in cautiously and gave myself permission to leave if it didn’t feel right. But here’s the thing — when the right leader invites the right people into the room (I swear it’s a super power Jay poses), there’s an unspoken respect that exists before anyone even watches you work. It’s that immediate feeling of, “I see you. I respect you. There is no competition because we’re on the same team. You are now one of my ride-or-dies.”

And one by one, the people in these photos mended my heart. They became my new work home. And I couldn’t be more grateful.

Thank you @kycutwilson for these photos of us this week. You captured who we are and how madly we support and care for one another. 🤍
