A few before and after shots of repairs we did on a very special pair of 1950’s Lee cowboy cuts. It took a lot of math to figure this one out. This pair will be making its debut at the @pickwickvintage show on Sunday, Sept 13th 10a-4p located at the iconic @ferrybuilding. Tickets are linked in our bio. We hope to see you there!

• Repair your clothes, don’t replace them.

Repairing our clothes is one of the simplest ways we can extend the life of a garment while keeping it out of landfill for a little longer.

In our eyes, repaired and beaten-up clothes often look better than something crisp and almost too perfect. The fading, damage, patches and repairs tell the story of where a piece has been and how it’s been worn.

The images here are a reminder that we should celebrate these imperfections rather than seeing damage and immediately thinking, “That’s it, they’re done.” Sometimes a repair can give a garment a whole new chapter.

A look back at a beautiful weekend at the Boonville Hotel, where I had the pleasure of teaching an indigo dye class as part of their Japanese Arts & Crafts weekend. @boonvillehotel

It was a gift to spend time with such a thoughtful and fun group of students, sharing the process of working with a natural indigo vat. A true highlight of our class was watching each piece emerge from the vat and slowly transform, each one entirely its own work of art.

I’m grateful to have shared the weekend alongside Suminagashi Artist Solange Roberdeau @solange_roberdeau and Sashiko artist Lindsey Hansen of @_the_future_past_ who were teaching their own specialty crafts, creating such a meaningful exchange rooted in material, care, and process.
Thank you to @melindawellis for all that you do, and to @cozitea for your time and support assisting.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to Boonville Hotel for hosting the first edition of what felt like a very special gathering!
