we taught 50 people american mahjong at the @oliveandjune offsite and a week later THIS showed up at my door!?! the whole team was so sweet and so fun to teach, and then they gifted me and my entire coaching crew nail care. my favorite is the hand serum, the twisty cuticle oil is genius and the press-ons are so easy 💅 thank you olive & june, we’d teach you again in a heartbeat! planning a team offsite in austin? link in bio 🌵

Comment TEXAS and I’ll send you the link to sign up for their waitlist/notifications! Lauren and Lindsey from the @_thetileedit are not only so kind but they created some amazing products!! The mats are thick and made from a soft leather material. The bags are a sturdy beautiful suede feeling and tiles are a good thickness that feels great in your hand! You definitely don’t want to miss them! Word around the mahjong table is, they are going live next month 😉 #mahjong #mahjong🀄️ #mahjongg #smallbusiness #friendssupportfriends

Join us on November 6 from 6 to 9 p.m. for an evening of mahjong and a silent auction in support of Ryder, a joyful and resilient little boy living with SPG47, a rare neurodegenerative condition that causes progressive muscle weakness and challenges with movement and balance.

Together, we’re raising funds for an adaptive tricycle that will give Ryder a safe, supportive way to stay active, experience greater independence, and enjoy the simple childhood fun of riding his own bike.

Our silent auction will feature generously donated items from businesses and friends throughout the community, including Mahjong Rodeo, Woodlands Mahjong Society, The Mahjêre, Aloha Beauty Lounge, Purple Peach Aesthetics, and Burdlife, with even more surprises to come!

Come play, bid, and help us put Ryder on the road to new adventures, one mahjong tile at a time!

Highlights of my week as an American mahjong teacher in Austin 🀄 Yesterday I shared one of my all-time favorite Google reviews. I got to support (and be supported by) a local tile maker out in Dripping Springs, and I finalized a beginner’s series at Mercer Street taproom for the next few months. Then a quick but important 20-hour trip to a documentary premiere to cheer on my huzz, plus a 20-mile long run for my upcoming Twin Cities Marathon this fall. I thrive in the chaos — and every day it’s just another reason I love this game. Making calm out of the chaos. Come find me at the table.

🩷 NEW SMALL MAHJ BRANDS - 2ND EDITION 🧡

I started this page to bring attention to the now 250+ and counting small mahjong businesses. Predominantly a women-owned market, I found myself wanting to support these badass go-getters just as I was unfortunately seeing dupes, large box store sets, and sameness at mahj tables. Here are a few of my recently discovered small mahjong brands, either recently launched or coming soon. No strings attached, just sharing, and would love you to follow all to grow these amazing businesses!
