A backyard built around how this family actually lives.
A custom four-hole putting green, plus a Millboard bench detailed to sit cleanly beside the pool. Millboard won’t rot, splinter or need staining, so it suits a wet poolside edge.
Every detail planned. Every edge finished properly.

Turning an unused poolside wall into something worth using.

Custom built-in bench seating finished in Millboard, wrapping the existing space to create extra seating without taking anything away from the pool area.

The timber-look finish ties in naturally with the landscaping, with the durability and low maintenance that makes Millboard such a good fit around pools.

A simple addition that completely changes how the space can be used.

Millboard is moulded from real timber, so you get the natural grain and colour variation of wood without the oiling, splinters, rot or warping. It’s the most realistic composite decking and cladding we’ve worked with, and a product we’ve wanted to offer our clients for a long time.

Any decking system is only as good as its installation. Being approved means we’re trained to install Millboard to the manufacturer’s specifications, so your deck performs the way it should for years to come.

GALSTON – PART 2

A quick mid-project update on the Galston Nursing Home re-roof project.

As you can see, the project is now well underway, with the works approximately halfway through completion. The progress on site continues to track extremely well, with the team maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety and efficiency throughout each stage of the project.

The conditions throughout this project have been an absolute dream for re-roofing, allowing our team to maintain consistent productivity and keep the works progressing seamlessly.

As always, the Pearce Smith standard remains the same quality workmanship, efficient delivery and a construction program that stays on schedule.

Another project progressing exactly as planned.

Environment is everything.

I occasionally catch myself working in isolation,
Caught up chasing my wildest aspirations, sometimes I’m guilty of missing the point, the joy of the process.
I’ve been spending time with some incredible athletes lately.
Moving forward, I plan to spend as much time as possible with likeminded people.

I love the pain, the process and the result.
We are here to stay.

A backyard that actually gets used.

This outdoor space was built around making the most of the home year-round, a Trex Select deck in Whiskey Barrel, paired with an opening roof system to give the area cover when it’s needed and open sky when it’s not.

The warm tone of the Whiskey Barrel works perfectly against the darker structure and existing home, while the wide steps open the deck up to the lawn rather than closing the two areas off from each other.

Nothing here is trying too hard. Good proportions, materials chosen to last and an outdoor area that feels like it belongs with the house.

My 8-year-old self would be absolutely losing his mind right now

Shots like this don’t just happen, the man @mics_pix_ made this moment come to life. Early morning, minimal scuba divers, telling me where to dive. To be honest, I just had to turn up.

@tahicarpenter turning this up with his colour grading, anyone who knows underwater photography knows that getting the shots one thing, but the post production is where the magic happens.

Chasing dreams. One step closer.

I’m lucky enough to be recognised by Nike and I’ll be using a select range of their trainers throughout my prep for my upcoming races, whilst making a decision on the most ideal “race shoe”.

As a kid growing up you can only dream for opportunities like this.
Beyond grateful for everyone who supports me new and old.
