For A Beast with Two Backs, couples were asked to contribute either one work each, to be hung side by side, or a work that they made together. Some of these collaborative interventions bring me endless delight. For instance, Guy and Wendy attached a vibrator to the trunk of a tree, making leaves that shiver (1). Miró made a pillow of felt for Gabriele’s ceramic fragments, creating these mysterious bird relics (2). Nicola put a pair of panties on one of Kyle’s metal sculptures—genius! (3)

These and more at the opening on Thursday, 26 June, 5-8pm at AVA. The show will be up until 31 July.

Bye bye Cape Town! It is the first time in more than 10 years that we leave the cape summer so early 😢
We had an amazing experience @investeccapetownartfair and we thank everyone who come to visit us at boothF9 and all friends who welcome us as usual 😘
But .... stay tuned we’re quite ready to launch new call for #VAA3rdEd and #ARP8thEd...

“A subject close to all our hearts right now. This short movie handles it well with some tasteful storytelling. Performances are good, sound design simple and mature and the look and grade seamless. While it might linger a tad in places, it leaves us with all the right feelings. Lots of Love shown here.”
– IDIDTHAT Guest Judge: Ricky Boyd

Thanks @ididthat.co for the Direction & Cinematography Craft Mention.
And congratulations @felix_seuffert and team 🔥 may this be the first of many!
