Happy International Women’s Day to all my queens out there 🫶🏼

Just wanted to give a big, special shoutout to these babes right here. When I started silversmithing six years ago I didn’t have much of a community, especially in real life. It was all via the interwebs (wild times we live in). But these babes quickly turned into real life and best friends when I made the move to the PNW. It was also during one of the darkest times of my life when these gals made an appearance into the life of Skip. It was truly the best timing, when I needed a community more than ever.

These babes (& many not pictured) have helped shape me into the smith I am today. We don’t gatekeep, we don’t judge, they don’t get annoyed at my million questions I constantly enter into our group chat. They are truly the best. We’re building something special out here and I’m just so dang thankful for all of them.

So, just a big shout out and internet hug to all of you. &&& to all my other badass babes out there crushing. Keep doing you, keep showing up, keep being Y O U.

Keep showing the world that women can do anything and everything.

Love you all 🫶🏼

I’m back from a full, soul-stretching week in Tucson. So much connection. So much catching up with metalsmiths I’ve met through this space and beyond. People I admire deeply and genuinely love. I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to spend real time together this year, more than ever before. Conversations, laughter, inspiration layered on inspiration. My bucket is overflowing, and I’m already counting down to next year’s meetup. 🌵✨

I was limited to 20 tags on this reel, but trust me, I had so many more to add!

We couldn’t possibly fit all the smiles, tail wags, happy dances, and pure JOY from this day into one video... but here’s our best attempt to recap the magic of our 3rd Annual Market for Mutts! 💞🐾🎉

To every single one of you who braved the heat to come out and support, THANK YOU! 🙌🏼 Your presence means the world, and we hope you had just as much fun as we did! Seeing our dog-lovin’ community come together (furry friends included!) was truly heartwarming. 🐶✨

A massive shoutout to our incredible vendors; your passion, products, and positivity made this market so special. We’re honored to call you not just partners, but friends! To our rockstar volunteers; thank you for working tirelessly behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly... we couldn’t have done it without you! 💪🏼🫶🏼

Big love to our live bands, @elborkosurf and Clark & Company @thejustclark for keeping the vibes high and the crowd grooving! 🎶 And to the generous local businesses who donated to our silent auction and raffle, thank you! You helped bring so much extra joy to the day (and some amazing prizes to lucky attendees!). 🎁✨

And finally, to our incredible hosts at @vikingbrewingco 🥲 For the third year in a row, you went above and beyond. Your team is absolutely top-tier, and we’re endlessly grateful to have you in our corner. ❤️

We're already counting down to next year's festivities! 😍🐾

Our 3rd annual Market for Mutts is exactly one month away! 🥳

We're beyond excited to see all of you again on Saturday August 23rd, to celebrate another year of rescuing dogs together! 🐶 Swipe through to see some of our amazing vendors that will be joining us!

Come on down to @vikingbrewingco and hang with your rescue pup community while shopping local makers and vintage curators, and listening to live tunes from Clark and Company! @thejustclark And don't forget to have your portrait taken by @maxine.sferra.photo or your pup's portrait taken by @saltypetportraits 📸 And if you're feeling real festive, stop by the @heartlessandhopelesstattoo booth to get a dog themed flash tattoo! 🤩 And we’ve got one more surprise vendor we’ll be announcing soon, so keep an eye out for that! 👀

As always, this is a dog-friendly event — if your pup enjoys being around other dogs and people, and doesn’t mind a busy environment, bring them along so we can say hi! 🐾

Event Details:

📍 Viking Brewing Co (West Location), Eugene, OR
⏰ 12–7 PM (vendors until 5, music until 7, Viking keeps the party going ‘til 9!)
