Good luck to everyone competing at @canplwesterns this weekend in Saskatoon, especially to these five standout athletes! Lots of work was put into this prep, so let’s make it count on the platform.

@marcliftstone kicks off the lifting for Wendigo Barbell tomorrow afternoon, with the remaining athletes all competing on Saturday.

Show your support by tuning into the lifting on the official CanPL YouTube channel. Otherwise, coaches @wendigo.kg & @littlemanbiglifts will be seeing you in the toon. 🫡

Athlete highlights of the month:

@melissap143 matching her previous squat 3rd attempt for an easy triple, she’s looking ready to take the platform by storm at @wyliestrengthopen !

@pocketlifters Taking his 3rd attempt bench at nationals for an easy long pause single, Kelvin has been working hard and we can’t wait to see him represent @canadapowerlifting at this years NAPFs

@_zrinna with a monstrous squat PR, 7.5kg rep PR and 5kg ATPR, be on the lookout as we gear up for westerns 👀

@djrmne With a 2.5kg lowbar PR, finally finding the groove with lowbar as we transition from highbar! DJ is also an entire weight class lower and continues to put on strength!

@reinneboww With a 2.5kg double PR, coming back from a car accident, she’s hungry for the platform and is well on her way to making that westerns QT hers!

@erinrichanders Hitting a 2.5kg Bench PR at 26 weeks pregnant, pregnant women can be strong too! The baby is well on their way to 100GL

I am very proud of these athletes, they continue to show up and put in the necessary work to reach the next level!

OG South Evolve- So many friendships, memories, and huge milestones in my powerlifting journey were built within these walls.

I’m grateful for everyone who made Evolve what it was. Excited for the future, but this place will always have a special place in my heart.

Worlds Prep Files Ep. 5: Hail Mary

Does it mean anything if you aren’t willing to risk losing everything to get it? 7 weeks time is plenty, eyes forward.
