Why do you act? 🎭

Drawing inspiration from the Liɓération survey, "Why do you film?" @nireliofidelio asked the actors at @tiff_net what drives them to step into a character's skin.

People, we still have some @EchoChamberFP 🎬 goodness to sprinkle on the 51st @tiff_net 🇨🇦 🎞️ 🌎

Once again, the delightful @cynthiaamsden came through with something super interesting as well!!!

This one is a tale of anchoring yourself in something pure, friendship. It’s simple, sparse, but extremely rich in honesty and emotional resonance! Once again, we have the director / co-writer (also co-lead) & co-writer / co-lead on hand for an enthralling, insightful exploration of the filmmaking process, the Toronto film scene, storytelling and a heap more!!! Watch 📺 the conversation: HERE! https://youtu.be/DSFaxM0cOCc

‘Driftwood’ is directed by @a.c.birch 🎥 📝 who co-wrote with @bretonlikethecrackers 📝 A waterfront escape, about a trans man (A.C. Birch) who enlists his best friend (Breton Lalama) for an adventure on the Toronto Islands in an attempt to recover a piece of himself.

It has always been a dream of mine to have a film at TIFF. Still reeling from our sold out world premiere on Monday morning. Feeling grateful to be amongst some incredible shorts in our program. We have one more screening today at 2:45pm at Scotiabank. If you've seen the film, or are seeing it today, please leave a review on @letterboxd !! ❤️🎬🌈
