Introducing new Bright Artist Alice May (@a.does.art22)! Alice is a UK-based digital and mixed-media illustrator who works with vivid colours, playful textures, and whimsical visuals. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, you’ll often find her making scribbly drawings of pigeons, cats, and an array of fish-based pieces. Starting out with an interest in realism (which she still loves), Alice quickly discovered the big, beautiful world of illustration. A firm believer in the importance of vibrancy in her work, she uses bright hues and bold colours to turn seemingly mundane things into imaginative works of art. She utilises organic textures, scribbles and hatching to add detail and excitement to the very essence of her work. Her love of cooking also translates across her artwork, including illustrations of dishes from world-renowned chefs in Viction:ary’s CITIX60 Paris Recipes Cookbook. Outside of the culinary world, Alice has also worked with clients such as UGG, Hippy Feet, and Zipster, working on a range of clothing lines and mixed media animations. Alice has been sharing all her creations online since 2021 and would say, for her, success looks like “making people’s days just the tiniest bit brighter”. See Alice’s full portfolio on the Bright website. Link in bio!

Down with 🤖 AI #DTIYS - @a.does.art22 #ADoesArtDTIYS Access: 1: digital sketch drawing of a white cat looking smug with a red party hat on. The party had has yellow dots. There are yellow stars around the cats head. The background is murky lime green. Around the cat in Hannah’s text style it says “I like making art using my tiny brain not AI”. 2: digital sketch drawing of a white cat looking smug with a red party hat on.
