In this issue of Night Terror Magazine, we are honored to show you exactly what it looks like when voices collect and create. This is our first quarterly issue, and to see such thoughtful articles, essays, art, and stories come together into one magazine you can hold in your hand is surreal. Kelsee and I love this community, and we are excited to present you with Issue 25. From community to folklore, gift guides to short stories, our final release of 2026 shows just how influential horror has been this year.

Thank you for reading, and welcome to another issue of NIGHT TERROR MAGAZINE!

If you’re eager to get your creepy crawlies on a digital copy, you can read now using the link in our bio! Physical copies have already been delivered to those who preordered, but copies are available on our website for purchase. Stay creepy!

🌈Post Description: Some books don't just tell a story; they sit beside you in the quiet dark and whisper the things you’ve been too afraid to admit to yourself.

I recently turned the final page of *Some Truths I May Have Missed* by A. J. Morgart, a deeply intimate collection that functions as a twenty-one-chapter map of stumbling through youth. Organized around twenty-one distinct sayings—one for every year of coming into adulthood—this short volume reads less like a traditional self-help manual and more like a handwritten letter passed across a coffee shop table at midnight.

Morgart isn't handing down wisdom from an untouchable podium; he’s writing straight from the floor. The book offers a spoiler-free glance into the hard-earned realizations that rarely arrive when you actually need them, but instead surface long after the dust has settled.

The core themes explore regret, resilience, and the quiet grace of forgiving your younger self for not knowing better. The writing style is stark, poetic, and utterly unpretentious, cutting through emotional noise with striking clarity. What makes this book unique is its profound vulnerability—it strips away the polish of memoir and leaves only raw, unfiltered reflection.

Reading this felt intensely personal, almost like someone had quietly unlocked a drawer where I keep my own past mistakes and read them back to me with infinite kindness. It left me sitting in silence long after I closed the cover, looking back at my own twenty-first year with a softer heart.

My only critique is that at just sixty-five pages, it ends far too quickly. I found myself wishing some of the chapters expanded a bit deeper into the memories behind the lessons, leaving me craving just a little more room to linger in the author's world.

Still, every single page resonates deeply. 5/5 ⭐.

If you are navigating your twenties or trying to make peace with choices you wish you could undo, you need to pick this up tonight.
