A recent discovery that my age and my love for coffee might not be getting along as well as they used to has led me to explore tea. Matcha seems to sit better with me and I’m hoping for a gentler caffeine lift without the dreaded crash.

Surrounded by matcha-loving friends and gifted with more matcha than I know what to do with, I figured it was time to give it a go.

Making my first cup turned out to be surprisingly therapeutic. There was something calming about slowing down and whisking away. A little ritual that felt almost healing after a crazy work morning.

Maybe this is what growing older looks like. Finding new ways to enjoy the little things.

The first edition of the slower post by amander 💌

In a world where everything is instant, receiving something made with intention feels so special. It took me back to a time when waiting for mail was part of the excitement. Writing letters, picking out cards, collecting pretty stamps and having pen pals you’d never met.

There was a different kind of patience then, where every envelope felt like a little piece of someone arriving at your doorstep.

The analog era will always have a quiet place in my heart. Not because it was better but because it taught us that some things are worth waiting for.

We’re so happy to see amander’s idea finally come to life. Here’s to slowing down, one letter at a time 🤍
