Sitting with my friend Steph we met this beautiful friend Ashely. She was sitting to herself Aperol spritz in hand reading Wuthering Heights. She had this cool girl aura about her that needed to be captured. What a light and so much fun to talk to! Thank you @a.rose.22 for letting us photograph you!

Howdy! Let’s do a quick introduction:

I’m Ashley, also known as the “Chicken Lady” in some parts. Though they’re not the only things I make, they are a favorite (for obvious reasons).

I started my pottery journey when I picked up everything and moved out to Salt Lake City a few years ago. I knew no one out here and joined a pottery class in hopes of a getting back into my high school hobby and making some friends. What I got instead, was so much more. Pottery has brought an indescribable joy into my life. Through this craft, I’ve had the privilege of meeting incredible people, creating pieces that I never imagined I could make, and learning so many invaluable lessons, all from a little ball of dirt.

I love being outdoors and I split my time between the coast, the mountains, and the desert. My work often draws inspiration from the beautiful sights I’ve encountered and the wonderful people I’ve met during my travels.

Thank you so much for being curious about my work 💕 I hope my pieces bring you joy, warmth, and maybe even some giggles 🐓
