It’s an EHFM takeover this week with our two guests for summer sessions @a.slice_of.ham @greengiantxx 👾👾👾👾

DJ HAM is the co-host of Wheezing on EHFM, and has guest shows on Noods Radio. He’s played records at Slàinte Mhath, Paradise Palms, Under Floor Heating, Other Other Music and hosts parties for charities under the name A Slice Of Ham. His musical tastes range from minimal and ambient, to hyperpop and trance, and all of the nooks and crannies in between genres.

Green giant is the host of EHFM’s the kitchen sink radio show, serving up a tasty wax platter of global grooves, disco, soulful sounds and more. Usually in their home turf of Porty, you’ll find them playing tunes for grassroots community events like street and beach parties, Porty Pride, Porty Queer Football events, and drumming for local DIY punk outfit The Farting Suffragettes.

What a great pairing - we can’t wait!!!💛

As ever this is a free event, this Sunday, 12-2pm xxx

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

What a day! We sold out of sandwiches, we raised £1300 for the @thesameerproject and we even got a dance party going in the pub.

Too many thank yous to get through but thanks to all the DJs, to @hcharlottev and Shaun for the raffle ticket sales, @lalalamp__ for smashing out 50 odd sandwiches, @staggsbar and their staff for this hosting and to all of the businesses who donated prizes.

But mainly, thanks to everyone who came, bought raffle tickets, hung out, danced, and came together to make the night one to remember.

We have been invited back so watch this space 👀

Much love,

Jonny x

Buzzing to be part of the ham-azing creation that is @a.slice_of.ham

A collective event created by @jonathan_hamilton_ bringing people together to party and raise funds for social causes.

‘Chat GPT, who are Friendly Vinyl Club’

Friendly Vinyl Club are:

DJ Duo

* @friendlyvinylclub seems to be a DJ couple: Mike and Tida. Their Instagram confirms this.
* They play together as a pair, with “a shared love of collecting vinyl and new dance moves.”
* Their style is oriented around vinyl, not digital: ”spinning Deep Disco / House / Balearic sounds”.

Residency / Events

* According to RA (Resident Advisor), they’ve done sets at Lady Libertine, Leith Depot, Leith Cricket Club and recently People’s Leisure Club
* They’ve previously played DJ sets in London in non-traditional venues, possibly more intimate / niche bars.

Musical Focus

* Genre-wise: deep disco, house, balearic — but likely with an eclectic vinyl selection.
* Their tagline (“all bangers – no mash”) implies they prefer full/clean versions rather than mashups or heavily edited tracks.
* Their vinyl collection is apparently “incredible” / quite large, since events emphasize their vinyl collection.

Philosophy & Vibe

* The fact they emphasise “club-friendly, vinyl-friendly, friend-friendly” suggests a welcoming, maybe more laid-back, inclusive rather than ultra-club-rave style night.
* Their events are probably aimed at people who are into vinyl culture, but also want to dance — not necessarily a super underground, serious purist vinyl-only crowd, but a mix.
