As the curtains close on the final night of the 2024 Magnolia Film Festival, we realized: We came as strangers, but we're leaving as family🤍🎥

UEC Hollywood Premiere Cinemas and Starkville: Mississippi’s College Town not only sponsored our festival, but all the memories made there. Thank you to everyone who made this weekend the best one yet! We couldn't have done it without our creators, sponsors, and volunteers.

So... see y'all again next year?😏

Feel imagination blur with reality in ‘A Spot for Frog,’ a hybrid work of live action and animation about the search for identity, belonging, and expression on the margins of the norm.

Directed by Evan Bode, ‘A Spot for Frog’ follows a creative teen named Frog, who grapples with anxiety in seeking a new place to eat lunch outside of the school art room.

Thank you to our premiere sponsor, Starkville: Mississippi’s College Town and watch ‘A Spot for Frog’ on Saturday, February 24th in the short film collection starting at 6:30 pm!

2023 marked the first year where I taught my own classes, and as I start my 3rd semester of teaching this week, I’m feeling grateful for all the experience I’ve gained at a job that seemed impossibly beyond my comfort zone not long ago.

while always challenging, it’s also been rewarding beyond words to nurture & witness the growth of my students (young artists / filmmakers / animators who inspire me often, and teach me just as much as I teach them)! 🤍
