We had a wonderful turnout at Madras Masala, with 19 attendees. Everyone enjoyed their wide variety of climate-friendly, plant-based dishes. 🍛 💚

We talked to attendees about the climate benefits of plant-based eating and our collaboration with @a2zero2030 🌱🌱🌱🌱

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and to the staff at Madras Masala for their support of our work and for being so accommodating. 💯

Earlier this week, City Council approved converting Carey Street, near the Broadway Bridge, to a one-way road. 🛣️

We are grateful to everyone who came out to Council meetings to share their input on the project and the one-way conversion. Thank you for sharing your voice!

This conversion is vital to moving the Division Bikeway Extension Project forward and will help make this area safer for everyone who uses it, including pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers.

A resident submitted the videos shown in this post to Council. They show the current conditions of this area, and we are very much looking forward to improving them in the spring of 2027.

Learn more about the project on our Engage page (link in bio!)

Cycling to the Broadway Bridge from where the Division Street Bikeway currently ends.

Division Street intended cyclist path to the Broadway Bridge (from where the Bikeway drops off).

The current easiest, but not safest, way for cyclists to connect to the bridge.

A welcome new safety addition is coming to downtown. Say hello to the City’s first retractable bollards! 🥳

📍Location: 4th Ave and Liberty St Intersection

What are retractable bollards? They are sturdy metal barriers that can be raised and lowered from the ground to help close streets. They’re a convenient way to help make our streets safer, especially during special events. When not in use, they sit flush with the ground, allowing vehicles to pass safely over them.

This is just the start; many more bollards are coming to downtown. The DDA is proud to lead this collaborative effort to help make our downtown safer and more comfortable for all! (Thank you to Breanna Anderson of @wadetrimsocial for the demonstration!)

It’s go!pass season 🚌🍉

Getting around downtown Ann Arbor doesn’t have to mean navigating construction season in your car. Ride the bus and let someone else do the work for you.

With a go!pass, employees who work at companies located within the DDA boundary can ride any of TheRide’s fixed-route buses for free.

🔗 Learn how to get or renew your go!pass with the link in our bio! (www.getdowntown.org/gopass)

Midfielder @bkopmeyer has been busy since she captained AFCAA's last game of the 2026 @uslwleague season.

She committed to @msu_wsoccer, signed an academy contract with @lexingtonsc.women ... and now she's traveling to Morocco for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which starts Oct. 17.
